Class Project 07 - Text & Buttons
Hello, you It is class project time now we've done quite a few videos so there's a lot to throw into this one actually there was a lot of theory. Right, so what you're going to do is with your minute furniture, I would like you to create your type stack. So remember we did that over here, so pick a font, a couple of fonts, do something like that and screenshot it and send it to me. I'd like to see what you chose once you've got that, I'd like you to add to your character styles and then I want you to go and create that hero text box. So this one here, the hero text boxes is kind of like top one and because this is slightly different, this one is going to be like a saS software type business, there's a lot of this kind of like a bold statement along the top, you'll find that e commerce sites have less of that and more of sales, you know, autumn spring sale, Free shipping till christmas just in store. So we'll do something slightly different in here. It's up to you, you might go for the ...
classy, let's have a look at a couple examples. I just so let's get ideas, do what I've just done and just I just loaded some furniture stores that are close to me. This one here is all about the sales, okay. And you know, it's just like what's on offer kind of, that's what you might do for yours. This one here is a bit of both kind of classy sales but it is getting time for christmas, all sorts of stuff like that. Then IKEA they go for a bit more of the whole bold branding, like welcome to the world of inspiration, up to you, you can decide what my new furniture is based on your persona and what you think Catherine would like, but I want you to put in this heading here, you can come up with your own, you can add like I'm not gonna like I'm not going to chase you if you don't put in body text here because you have to write it, you can put Lauren ipsum in or you can just leave it off, you can decide on the colors whether you want gradient or not. I want you to do the buttons as well, the navigation, make sure that logo is up here and your buttons are on the top, right, the ones that you need, you don't actually have to define everything perfectly just yet, but just kind of start working through, give this hero box in, choose your fonts, draw some buttons at the logo, all the while practicing our sweet new skills and once you've done that, send me a screenshot, use it in the assignments panel or in the comments or on social media and once you're done and you've submitted your work and you've said that's awesome to somebody else, jump back in here and we'll get started in the next video

Thank you, Dan Scott, for providing such a beautiful Adobe XD course. I completed the course today and noticed a couple of things that are missing. I want to share them here so that you can upgrade the course, which would be helpful for us. Hover state and toggle state. Dragging pages from 1-2 to 2-3 and then back from 3-2 to 2-1 with dragging is not working. Another thing is that we learned scrolling the website from top to bottom, but scrolling or pushing things from right to left has been completely omitted. These are the things I have noticed, and I would like you to upgrade them so that we can improve our Adobe XD skills.
