Niching Down as a Freelancer
So how do you actually niche down as a freelancer? Well, there are a few different ways that you can niche down first is the type of service that you actually offer. So this could be, for example, you only offer logo design and then you can niche down even further in regards to local design. So a niche within logo design could be offering abstract logos or offering emblems or offering rustic logos or offering words that's a niche within a niche. And then you could even further niche down saying that you only create logos that are word marks for technology companies, a niche within a niche within a niche. And the more nice she become, yes, the less potential clients you could potentially have. But the more relevant you become to other clients, the the right clients, the clients that you actually want to work with. I specifically niche down in regards to offering a specific type of service, we offer different services. But the first service that we usually offer is brand naming or strate...
gy. And then we niche down in regards to, we only work with clients that want to go through the full process with us. So for example, we don't niche down in regard to service, we niche down in regards to the experience that we want to provide. So we don't want to just work with clients. Although we do sometimes on occasion, we don't just work with clients in regards to naming and that's it. We generally work with people in regards to strategy then naming, then visual identity. So we really kind of get the full, the full experience with them. That is probably the smartest way to do things you need to think about the full journey that your client wants to go on and then ultimately be at the very start of that process with them. So you can guide them through the rest of the steps and you can ultimately increase the lifetime value of the client instead of just trying to get the biggest pay day in the very beginning, build a relationship with the client. So you can really help to grow them and build them over time. So hopefully that helps and yeah, I'll see you in the next video, see you there.
