The Perfect Profile Picture

So what makes the perfect profile video? So on fiver, I have my profile picture extremely professional and the reason I do that and it is very specific what I'm doing in this picture, I want to showcase that I am professional and I am an expert in what I do. So for example, everything is manufactured to create that professional feel. So for example, I am quite smartly dressed, not super smartly dressed, but approachable. So I'm wearing a nice white t-shirt and you know, it's it's just very casual, right? So it's kind of setting the tone for the type of engagement that you're going to have with me. I'm not super business like um a little bit more approachable and I help clients in a really approachable way. You can also see me with a sketch pad on my desk. So I'm actually designing logos on my desk, which is something I offer a service. I also have my computer. So I actually working on a project. I also have books in my background because I'm an expert in what I do. And I read about the...

topic that I'm an expert in as well as other topics. This is all manufactured to create kind of an experience before they actually work with me. An expectation that I'm professional. I am, you know, courteous. I am going to take care of you because I know what I'm talking about. Now, when we get to the, the, the the next stage of ultimately engaging with the client, you need to follow up on the expectations that you've set. That's a completely, you know, different thing, but make sure that you are taking the very best quality picture that you can. If you need to ask a friend who's got a really good camera to take a picture for you who understands photography, then do it. If you need to pay them a little bit to do it, then do it because you are going to get so much more attention and trust from the potential clients by actually having a professional pitch. Now, in regards to my youtube, I take a slightly different approach and this is all purposeful, right? This is all well thought out. My youtube is a little bit more personal and I want to be seeing this kind of like a a more interesting person, right? That isn't just about branding. So I talk about other things on youtube, um such as, you know, being a freelancer and you know, but be being a branding expert, et cetera, et cetera. It's not just about selling a service. So I use an image which is basically more about traveling and kind of being in a great place, which is, you know, Japan. I love Japan and I wanted to kind of showcase that I do travel while I actually work and while I build my brand agency. So a few things to think about when you're actually thinking about designing your profile picture. Number one, make it purposeful, right? Think about your background, think about what you're wearing, think about, you know, how your how your hairstyle, think about how the client is gonna perceive you from your profile picture. What are they gonna think about? And you know, if if you can really put some effort into actually creating a really great profile picture for your, you know, your your your your profile, it's going to really help you to stand out and because not a lot of people do that. So yeah, hopefully this was helpful and I look forward to seeing you in the next lesson. See you there.
