Erik's Experience With U.S. Customs
in this video, we're gonna talk about my experience with customs. So I've had a lot of people ask me and get very scared about customs, is it gonna get stuck, is it gonna be shipped back? Where does it go? So there's a couple things to go about this. Um First of all I've had a ton of package shipped from all over the world to the US in various other places um for amazon and everything. But sometimes packages do get stuck. I'm looking at the track and I was like, is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? And I'm like, oh crap, it's stuck in customs. What do I do? I actually just wait, it's stuck there maybe for a little bit, but it always goes through in the beginning when I just started out, I was super worried when I got stuck in customs. It was awful. I just want to get there. But the thing is you usually just wait, but there are a couple of times where it gets stuck in customs and actually gets shipped back. This is typically with a hazardous material or something wrong with w...
hat's inside there. So sometimes like a good example of this is lithium ion batteries. They're actually hazardous materials and they can catch on fire. I'm sure you've heard the Galaxies, the galaxy phones that they've caught on fire when they're flying airplanes. This can happen. So lithium ion batteries are actually very regulated and they will not get through customs unless you have all the proper documentation. So checking through this, you really want to make sure your item can go through customs. So most items really go through some very easily. But if you're worried about a specific type of and being like this kind of looks a little sketching away and maybe it won't get shipped through customs. Just go on the customs list and check if there's any regulations that follow it. There's many different countries that circulate with it. So just look at regulations for item X for example and see if there's anything that falls on in the next video, we're going to cover the supplier checklist.
