Slide In Mobile Nav Menu Overlay In Figma

Hi, everyone. We're gonna make a little slide in NAV menu that kind of goes in and out. You can use the close button super easy to make. Let's jump in all at the same time. I've created a little slide in menu. Ok? All it is is a frame that kind of sits in here. OK? It's probably not big enough buttons to click. I'll have to test it on my phone. But yeah, I've made a little cross there as well. Ok? It's actually just a plus turn on its side so I can close things. But yeah, let's start rigging it up. It's still in our kind of overlay kind of world. So what we're gonna do is homepage. We're going to go to our prototype and we're going to say when this button here is clicked, it's a bit small. It's OK for the moment. OK? I'm going to say you when that is clicked, go there. I don't want you to go there. I want to not navigate. I want you to open an overlay and I want you to instead of instant, I want you to move in. Ok? It's gonna kind of slide in. Let's give it a go preview it. OK. Clicky ...

doodles and there it goes, OK, it moves in. It's the wrong way that I wanted. Ok. So let's have a look. So I can say actually I want you to not move in from that way. It's going from the left and the easing. Let's get it to ease in and out to be a little bit prettier. Same thing at this play. I'm gonna hit off my reset. Click that button. Hey, it's stuck there, ok? We need to get rid of it, ok? We're gonna do a couple of things. One is let's uh get it to close when clicking the background. That's what I want. I'll get it to kind of dark in the background as well. And what I'll do is I've made this little button here. What I want this thing to do is when it's clicked, actually, I don't want it to go anywhere, right. I want it when it's click to go to an interaction, ok? And when it is tapped, what I want to do, I want it to close the overlay. That's its job. Doesn't go anywhere. It just closes itself. Alright. So let's give it a preview. Let's hit R for a refresh. Let's click it. I can click anywhere in the background here and now I can click this and it will close with some easing and outing and dark in the background a little bit. It's pretty nice. Let's rig it up a bit more just to see. Yeah, because what I want to do is um you know, at the moment if I click here and I go oh, features, ok. Can't go anywhere else. Ok. And if I do make it to the features page, the NAV doesn't work. So let's just kind of go through the motions because what I want to do is um I need this double click it to go inside to do the same thing. I need it to go to this. Ok? And I can say on tap overlay, get it to move in. It's remember the last thing I've done, which is great often though, it's easier just to grab that, copy it. And if I copy anything, OK? And I delete that and I paste it, it will bring through the prototyping. OK? So let's give it a preview. Let's reset it for Arki. So I go to it works on the home page. If I go to the learn more, it still works here as well. OK? And what we should probably be doing now is double clicking these and say it goes to home that goes to features that goes to Cart and that goes to my account page. I don't have an account page. Ok? Uh But yeah, now the navigation is going to do something and do more than just slide in and out. Oh, that's an ugly transition. So that transition there is still using move in because it remembers the last thing you wanted to do. And this thing here, let's go to you tap. I don't want to move in. I'll get a to dissolve. That's gonna work. OK. Same with this one tap. This thing to dissolve. Let's give it a preview. Yep features. Here we go. Alright. Our s lady in E menu plus rigging up a little bit of our prototype. That is gonna be it for this video. I'll see you in the next one.
