CC 2020 Update - Time Remapping up to 20,000%

one minor update for adobe premiere Pro CC 2020 is the ability to increase the speed of a clip up to 20,000%. Before now it was just up to 10,000%. So this can be done either by right clicking a clip Choosing speed duration and now you can set the speed to 20,000. I'm so used to 10,000 20,000. And so now with your slow mo video or just any sort of footage, you're able to speed up a lot faster. I don't know necessarily why you would want to do it with this clip but sometimes when you're doing speed ramps, which is the other way to do play with speed. That can help. So say for example we have this clip and we want to kind of have a slow motion bit right here at the beginning and then it sort of speeds up to the very end of the clip where then it slows back down. That's called a speed ramp. And so you can edit that here in your effects controls panel. So with this clip selected twirl down the time. Remapping and you probably won't have any key frame set already but go to where you want It...

to start to speed up. So say we go right here at two seconds and then we'll go to the point in the clip where we want it to slow back down. So maybe right here when this lady is walking across and then if we twirl down the speed toggle you see this actual line which is kind of like a graph. And here we can actually take this line and drag it up all the way. And if we zoom in here We got to nine 90 200 speed or percentage. Now we got up 200-20000%. So now this clip goes from slow speeds through that bit 20,000% faster and then it slows back down. So that's sort of one sort of stylistic way you would use uh the speed ramp and now having 20,000% is a great way to deal with it, especially as most cameras are shooting at, You know, four times 5 times slower than natural speed. And this should come in handy, awesome. Thanks for watching.
