How fast the refresh rate is on 00:06:57.91 --> 00:07:00. the display, and a higher frame mate means that as 00:07:00.93 --> 00:07:03. you pan back and forth, you're going to get a clearer 00:07:03.5 --> 00:07:06. view of your subject. The downside is, is that you 00:07:06.65 --> 00:07:08. need to have a fair bit of light coming in the camera 00:07:08.57 --> 00:07:10. for this toe work, right? So if you are shooting under 00:07:10.95 --> 00:07:14. low light conditions, you definitely want to set this 00:07:14.09 --> 00:07:16. on normal. If you're shooting sports, you probably 00:07:16.91 --> 00:07:18. want to have it on high, 00:07:19.46 --> 00:07:21. and so that's that's. What the frame rate is. 00:07:23.86 --> 00:07:29. Art, live view mode. And so in mode one, this is going 00:07:29.72 --> 00:07:33. to be the effects as they will be recorded. And mode, 00:07:33.52 --> 00:07:38. too, is a lightening of the artifact for easy viewing. 00:07:38.16 --> 00:07:40. This is kind of related to the live you boost boost 00:07:40.92 --> 00:07:43. that we were just talking about. And so it depends 00:07:43.16 --> 00:07:45. on how much of those art modes that you're going to 00:07:45.95 --> 00:07:50. use. In many cases, I like to see the exact result, 00:07:50.36 --> 00:07:54. but in mode to it lightens them so that you can technically 00:07:54.73 --> 00:07:55. take a better shot. 00:07:58.06 --> 00:08:02. Expanded live, you dynamic range. And so the range of exposure that you see on the display of the back of your camera, you can expand that to make it easier to see, especially in the shadow areas. And that doesn't have a downside to really shooting the image. And so kind of like to leave. That one turned on flicker reduction deals with flicker that you might get from fluorescent lights in certain environments. And there might be a flicker with the lcd on the back of the camera. I leave the camera and auto, and it seems to solve the problem on its own. But if you knew that you wanted it at sixty or fifty hurts, you could go in and select a specific mode for it to be at. But it's not likely to be a problem for most people who leave this just at the auto city. Live you close up mode and so we have mowed one and mode too and when you're focusing and you want to use the magnification the camera will zoom in to see what's going on and in mode one a half press on the shutter will cancel this digital zoom in this assist which is which is not a bad option mode to you have to press an on and off button so you need to have first off for this whole thing to work you need to have one of your buttons focus or one of the buttons programmed to be magnified so one of those function buttons needs to be specified as magnified and you can either have it automatically kick out of the mod in mode one or you can have it stay on even with the half press of the shutter and simply be a manual on and off with it when it's in mode too so whether this is important to you first depends on whether you want to use the magnify feature and then it's a matter of how you like to work and they have options because different people have different needs of course continuing forward the depth of field lock the depth of field button is considered this button here on the front of the camera doesn't have a label it's just kind of little finger button right on the front of the camera and this will stop the lens down. Stop the aperture down to the working aperture and there are two methods of this working. One is a press and hole where you press it and it's engaged, and then you release it and it's disengaged. Or if you want to turn it on, you press the button and it stays on. And then you gotta press it again to turn off. And so what type of switch a light switch where it's on and then it's off or it's. A button that actually has to be pressed while you are using depends on the style that you want to take standard. The default system is off that's way cameras have always traditionally been. You have to see that effect by holding the button down. Next up is the peking settings. If you recall, there was a section where in the displays you would see areas of blown out highlights and shadows, and this is where you can go in and control what color either white or black. Those peking settings are are set at, as well as a few other controls as faras their intensity. And there I brightness and so adjust as needed. A lot of video shooter's like this for manual focusing or exposure adjustment. Backlit lcd so this is the back of the camera how long do you want it to stay on before it goes to sleep and the shorter the time the better battery life you're gonna have the longer it is perhaps more than convenient using the camera I think thirty seconds is a nice compromise sleep mode how quickly do you want the camera to go to sleep and one minute seems to be a fairly good compromise on this remember that these cameras tend to go through batteries a little bit more quickly because there's so much turned on and so that's why I kind of have that down a little bit in the shorter range because it does also have the option of three minutes and five minutes now if your camera is sleeping the way you wake your camera is by pressing halfway down on the shutter release and it will bring everything back got a light now the camera has a sleep mode and then it has a coma mode where it goes into full power off and in this case the camera actually powers down. How long do you want the camera to to go before it completely powers down and so depending on how you use the camera, you may choose different amounts of time in this case and if the camera powers down the only way to get it activated and you're not going to be able to do it with the shutter release. You have to turn the camera off and turn it back on. So, once again, it's, a battery issue shorter is going to give you better. Battery. Life longer is sometimes going to be just a little bit more convenient. All right, remember I told you, we're going to turn the beep off. This is where you turn the audio beeping confirmation turned off. When you leave the beep on, you are drawing attention to yourself in a lot of photographers prefer to be a little bit more subtle in in the background. It is a nice confirmation that your camera focused right, but there are other visual cues in the camera that you can use to confirm that without interfering with the sound of the area around u s b mode. If you are going to be hooking this camera up to a computer, there are a variety of modes that you can use when you do your firmware update, you'll need to select believe the storage mode on that. If you were gonna hook up a printer, there is a print mode. And so there are some different connection mode, so that your camera knows how to send the right packets of information across the cables. We're still in d, folks, another page multifunction setting. So one of the first things we talked about was function to button on the top of the camera. It did four things, and I had a couple things that were great out and here's, where you can go in and check those boxes off and list them as options. And so you, khun program function to to do anything you want. But one of the options is called multifunction settings, where you can quickly change between any of these 00:14:00.092 --> 00:14:02. four settings.
