Class Introduction
So today, if you found yourself to Coach Your Team Success, also known as You Already Are one, So Let's Be Great At It. You found yourself in the right class. This is probably my favorite thing to teach ever because you can literally use it everyday and you will seem like a Jedi. People will not understand where you got these things from. So what we're gonna do today is we're gonna basically give you some of the fundamentals and advanced techniques that I use everyday as a coach and that coaches around the world use to coach people to top performance. These skills work not only in things like management or leadership or the corporate world, but they work, these are some of the same techniques or concepts that top coaches are using in sports and music, for example, to train the top pianists or violinists or the best swimmers or tennis players. So I'll get into more about what I mean by that, but we're taking from the best of the best and trying to bring it and make it easy for you to ta...
ke pieces of it and apply it immediately as you go out there. So what we're gonna do today is we're gonna cover, I'm going through the agenda in a second and give you every piece that we're gonna cover today. But what I wanna start with is what I wanna give you out of this class. If you can leave here with this, I'm gonna be happy today. So first is excitement for your identity as a coach. And what I mean by that is you already are coaching. You might be bad at it or just inexperienced at it, but you're already coaching. So it's for us today to step into that role as coach and to understand when we're playing that role and when we might wanna play that role in an expanded way. So we can really feel like, oh, I am a coach, that's gonna be a huge component of today I think. Because taking that responsibility on is a huge component of being a successful coach. The second thing is I'd love to give you a confident starting place in these techniques. Being a master coach is one of those fractal or almost infinite spaces where the more you zoom in the more detail there is. When you zoom in there's more detail. So I hope that you all leave here with a lifelong commitment to growing your ability as a coach in whatever areas of life you like to help people. I hope you take on refining your skills as a coach. But today I just want to give you a confident starting place. If I can make you feel like, oh, I get it. I get kinda the world, and I get where I can start and play. I'm gonna be super happy, okay. And then I'd love to give you a little bit of expertise so that you understand how to use some of these techniques and skills in a way that actually gets results immediately, right. So that's what I'd love to give you today, and I think we're gonna be able to do it together. And if you're online, you're thinking about sticking with the course the whole time, I think what you'll really be able to leave with is an opportunity to take situations that seemed hopeless or frustrating or repetitive, that keep happening over and over again, and you'll be able to actually change them or shift them. You'll be able to help people grow and contribute in the ways that they want to, and you'll be able to get better impact or results in whatever your sphere of influence is, whether you run your own business, whether you're in the corporate world. So for all of us here today and all of us online, that's what I really expect for us to be able to take away. So first things first. I'm a business douist, so what we're gonna focus on today is finding the balance point with all of these sometimes contradictory or opposing perspectives. We gotta figure out how to integrate them in ourselves and find that balance point. So that's what I'm gonna be doing today. So if you find yourself going, "How does that work with that?" Please ask the question. I'm gonna try to show you how they can work together, but it's up to you to actually figure out for yourself and I invite you to, especially people in the room, when I give you an opportunity to participate, step in and try it. That's how you actually learn to integrate is by trying and feeling your way into it. It's hard to just think your way into balance. Cool? All right, so what are we covering today? What's on the agenda? Well, we're gonna talk about why coaching a little bit more. And then we're gonna go into how we actually grow. So how do people learn things? What is the biology of that? What is the science behind that? This is pretty vague, but I'll give you key concepts that sort of mindset or frameworks, and then I'll give you key techniques, things you can apply immediately inside those frameworks. And then I wanna talk about the last piece. For coaching, it's all about accountability at the end of the day. Because if people aren't doing the work, over time they're not gonna get better, right. So that's a key component. So we're gonna wrap with that and think about structure of accountability.

I recommend it but I must say I was sometimes lost and don't get what I was supposed to understand (frameworks, models... what are they exactly?). Like, ok, you will figure out yourself and I don't. I am not sure I can go back to my work and put into practice what I listen to today. A lot of great information but not enough examples, I would say.
