Effectively Presenting Your Work
What we have up next is presenting your work. So, obviously, we've sort of left our wire frames unfinished right now, but once you would have the whole page in there, you're going to send this out, or present this to your clients, or to the other people that you're working with, and this is a great stage to let designers shine. You've done all of this great thinking. You've done a lot of work, and I think it's a place where designers can shine but they often dropped off, and this is often where, that sort of like, magic, mystical design, how does it work, it's so creative, how to get other people to understand that, and it's very easy to do if you follow the process of what we've done already. So, you know who you're working with. All of that stuff that we prepared before, you know, talking to your stakeholders, figuring out the problems that you're gonna solve, understanding your users, and so when you're presenting this work, that's what you want to be referencing. You want to talk a...
bout, well we, you know, we put the images big and up top, because we are thinking about the atmosphere and showing that off. What you basically want to do is go back to that list that you wrote up, and use the clients language even back to them as you're explaining it. If they were really, really passionate about, you know, we have to be bold and we have to be modern, use bold and modern when you're describing your designs so that they can understand that the choice that you made go back to the wants and desires that they had. Don't lie and don't use uncommon language that's, gonna sort of, make you sound smart or make it sound like you hold the secret to design, you really want to be open and honest, and communicate with your stakeholders in a way that's going to help them understand everything you've done, so that as you move forward, you're all on the same page.

Great information. Would have been nice if she had a large pad or dry erase boards for the sketching so both online and people in the room could see better - as opposed to the 8.5 x 11 laying on the desk.
