The 6-Word Question to Get Writing
So guys it as we start to conclude here. I wanna offer you a six word question to help you get writing at any time. Big ask, big ask. But it's a six word question that I think is going to help you remember everything we've covered today. It's going to bring you back into all of this fun that we've been having talking about our shadows and our baggage and our emotional hangups. 'The 6-Word Question to Get Yourself Writing at Anytime' Is one that will bring you back away from writer's block and into your relationship to what you're choosing even subconsciously. To what you desire even if there's some resistance along the way. Simple. 'What have I been avoiding lately?' This not only provides you with some content for actually writing in the moment because often times we're avoiding writing. It is probably something we should probably spend some time pulling apart and writing about. Something we care about, something that matters to us. We may not know what the outcome is. We may not know...
what the goal is. It may trigger feelings of, who am I to say this? It may cause some potential instability around our family and relationships. All we can do though is answer the call. Answer the call. We are conduits. We are messengers, carrier of ideas and stories. We are shepherds of messages. That's a really divine thing and a very special opportunity that we all possess. Doesn't mean that we're better than anyone else who isn't a writer or a creative, but it means that this is a really powerful gift that we have. To usher ideas from the invisible realm, from the intangible plane into the physical world. Even if that's in the space of your own journal. Even if that's for just your own journey of self actualization, being your whole and best self. Which means that everybody around you is going to benefit from it. Asking yourself 'What have I been avoiding lately?' is the best next step that you can take to becoming a student to your avoidance and remembering writer's block it's a thing but it probably shouldn't be. Thanks guys. - [Woman] Dave thank you and I wanted to make sure you let people know how they can follow you. Absolutely. So a few ways to stay in touch, my online home very creative blog name that I came up with just came first name last name .com. DaveUrsillo.com is where you can find me. That's where I have over 500 articles that I've written over the last 9 years. I talk a lot about writing, creative self expression, and self expression at the intersection of self knowledge and find a lot about the stuff we talked about. All there for you, all for free. You can sign up to get my newsletter by texting GETDAVE, which won't give you me just my newsletter for the record (audience laughs) to 345-345. It's a every other weekly newsletter. I try to pride myself on writing something that readers actually want to read, not just clog up your inbox. So it's the best way to keep in touch, to hear what I'm working on, and to give you unpublished stories, articles, and advice. Also you can text WRITING to 345-345 to learn more about avoidance in my writing course which is called unavoidable writing. This workshop is largely based off of a beta course that I've put together just debuted it not long ago. If you'd like to learn more about that and get even deeper into your head into, into your baggage, into your shadows (laughter) look to me. I'd be happy to bring you there and to work with you to bring your writing to life. So you can start unavoiding your writing, and otherwise find me online I'm accessible. I love talking about this stuff. Like I said I really enjoy talking about (laughter) the weird shadows and things like writer's block cause it ultimately brings us back to ourselves and the work that you're doing in the world. So keep up the good work. Keep writing. Don't be bogged down. Don't believe in the writers block anymore. Remember you're revolutionaries now. To champion the cause of avoidance work. Thank you once again.

I love Dave's style of teaching. He comes across as very warm, real and welcoming with a good dash of humour. I've read many books on writing, studied English and taken writing courses for over thirty years. What Dave does is to find the gift in the resistance to actually heal the source of writer's block. This is not just a course about writing, but about living a life with increased freedom and joy.
