Wrapping up the class we spent a lot of time when we were talking about lesson planning making sure we included this this section right we want always make sure that we close our class strong okay so let's talk about what that what that's going to mean obviously we talked a lot about the photo but I want you to make sure that you end strong okay I want you to save time at the end to bring your group together always always always um even if people are so if even if people are out in the hallway working if there and all of you spread out bring them back into one space to close your class okay always do it make sure you get your materials back if you were lending out materials right this is a good time tio do that while everybody is kind of coming together um take time to share work you could you could make you could take more time especially in a longer workshop take time to share some work answer any questions any last minute questions and give a last summary statement that's full of gr...
atitude so thank your class and really talk about how your experience was with them I think that students really appreciate that obviously get a group photo um make sure you have everyone's e mails which you probably already do but you never know stick around and make yourself available hey always do that give out your card or any discount codes or anything that you wanted to like. We talked earlier about doing a raffle for give away or something like this is a great this. Obviously, when you're going to do that, um, anything else that you want to make sure that your students get for, you know, for marketing purposes, or any make sure you're closing that loop with them, okay? And then you always wanted, if possible, almost like late at night or whatever. Check in with somebody from the venue, right? I think in our panel, they discuss that as well, checking in with her. Then you seeing how they thought it went. What what's your initial feedback for me kind of thing. I check in with that menu before you leave.

I'm not even half way thru the online videos and want to recommend this class to anyone who just needs that extra boost to start their own classes! I like the fact that Ashley suggests that we think from a student perspective to help us to better plan. This class covers many things I have heard before BUT in greater detail. When I hear the 'WHY' of doing things, I'm more likely to follow thru. These videos explain many 'WHYs' (There are many informative sites/classes for this topic but not many people give you 'this is WHY' it should be done this way) Ashley gives the "WHY' and the 'HOW to'. If you want to teach and are mostly ready to teach, take this class and all the gaps will be filled in and you will be ready to go forth and teach your craft!

Great class -- watched live (most of it) and purchased for ongoing review. I've taught many things, including some crafts (decorating gourds, collage, making your own tarot-collages) but I gained new insights, ideas and confidence from Ashley's advice, the students questions and input, and the panel! I recommend this for anyone who wants to teach a class -- craft oriented, personal development, or anything else!
