Wi-Fi Settings Menu

All right, So we're onto the second page of shooting settings here, and this is the wireless communication. So this is where we get to do our WiFi hook up on the camera. So what I'm gonna do is I want to walk you through the basic steps of how to hook your camera up to the WiFi, and then we'll do a little demo here in the class. So let's go through the steps first. So there's a number of things that you need to do with your phone to make this work. And there's a number of things you need to do with your camera to make this work first and foremost is you need to download the correct Fuji App and I'll warn you right now. Fuji's had a few APS over the years, so you want to make sure you get the right one, and for right now the correct one is thief Fujifilm camera, Remote app. So download that app on your phone will be using it in a minute. On the camera, you're gonna need to start up the wireless system, which is right here in the menu system that we've been talking about And next step is...

we're going to need to go back to the phone and turn our WiFi system on and select the X Pro two system. After that, we're going to need to come back to the camera toe. Let the camera. No. Yes, we do want to hook up with the camera. That or with the phone that were connected, Teoh. And after that, we're gonna go back and we're gonna open up the menu system. So there is a bit of back and forth going back and forth between the phone and the camera. And so let's some take a look and see if I have enough battery power to do this. It looks like ideo. So let's go ahead and go through this process right now. Real time with my phone. Let's hope I don't get a phone call right now, So let me go ahead and get my phone out of the airplane mode. Okay? So first thing I need to do, I need to download the app. We've already done that. So now I'm gonna go into the menu system and turn this on, and so I'm gonna come down to the second page to the wireless communication, and we're gonna go ahead. Let's get this you guys to see and we're gonna hit. Okay, so now we're in here, and now we need to go to the phone over here, and I need to go to the WiFi system, which I currently have turned off, and I'm gonna turn my WiFi system on, and it's looking for all the WiFi systems here, a creative life. But down here, it says Fuji X Pro two and then has a number in here now because I was doing some testing, it's already checked it, and we've already okayed it, so it quickly goes up there. So there's less checks that you need to do once you've already done this. So it recognises this. We're gonna go over here and we're gonna press OK, and it should be sending the signal now. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna open up the Fuji app, which I have in my wife I camera collection. So let's open up the Fuji app here. And hopefully, if all goes right, we're going to connect up. And so I'm gonna hit remote control and we should be able to see what the camera sees. If we're lucky, better hit another. Okay, over here, cause it says Transmit, let's hit the okay. And there we go. All right, So funny. Flicker on that screen. So let's go ahead and point it over here at the cameras. And so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna walk over in front of the cameras and I'm going to see myself in the frame here. And so let's see where I will stand over here. I'm looking a little dark. I Let's throw a little exposure compensation on this. They need to brighten this up a little bit. So there's a number of things that you can do you can control focusing, and you can control aperture and so forth. And I'm just going to stand here and say hi, I'm gonna shoot my photo. And so let's come back and I'll show you still little dark on this. It's tricky, tricky on the lighting. And so here on the camera, I can go back and I can play back images that are in the camera. And so let's take a look. And here's the image that we just shot of myself. I can Then check this When? If I want. Come on, check. There we go. And now I can import this into my phone if I want, and it's going to download it into my camera roll. So it has saved it into my camera roll right now. And I could jump out of this, go into my photos. And here is that photo right there. And if I want to send that off, Aiken, send that off Facebook at, uh, email it. Whatever I need to do with it, let me jump back in the camera app and show you a little bit more about some of the things in here. And so once again, you can see it's showing what's in front of the camera clips, not in front of what's in front of the phone. If I want to go in here, I can change the I S o settings, and we could just kind of scroll through if I want to change it up to ah, higher setting. I can change it there if I want to go in and control. Come on. There we go. I want to control some of the other features. I'm not gonna go into all of these. But there's a number of features that we can go in here and control. Go back to that. We can change our aperture and we can change our aperture more depth, the field less step the field and we can also record video through here. And so then when I'm done, I'm consist. Simply turn the camera off or Aiken, let's see, can hit back out. So I just normally just turn the camera off, which disconnects things. And then I'm gonna go here, and I can close this and close that out right there. And so WiFi is pretty easy to hook up. Great for getting the camera in an unusual point of view so that you can see what's going on through the camera itself. Way to have, ah, bit of finding. Just get some different types of pictures with the camera. So I encourage you to play around with that and use it. There's a couple of other things that it can do that we're not going to get into here, but I just wanted to get you started on the basics of how to get in there and get it connected up to your phone

I have the X Pro 2 for over a year and I thought that I might get more information on how to use it more efficiently. Boy this is a great course! I learned a lot and I loved the hidden feature :) Highly appreciated John and CL!
