How to Write Sizzling Headlines

So we're gonna go into a little headline strategy. I love writing headlines only because I do this. I remix them, it's so fun, and before I learned this, I used to hate headlines and they were like my life cause I used to be in PR and it was all about the headline. And so this is what I do instead. So the first thing you wanna do is you wanna source headlines. So you're gonna look at magazines, tabloids, blogs. All kinds of places, any place that uses headlines. Newspapers, just make sure they're outside of your industry. Do not take any headline from your industry cause if you do then that's just copying. This is about garnering inspiration from outside of your industry. Okay, step two, now you're gonna remix the headline. Now this is gonna take a little bit of practice. We're gonna go through a couple of examples right now. But just know that once you get this down, headline writing is gonna be so easy and you're gonna be so happy forever and ever and content is gonna feel like a bre...

eze. So here are some ideas. So how to break your unhealthy, cracked-out addiction to your phone. So that was a headline I pulled. And I'm like this is a good headline. So I might take that and try to remix it by how to break your unhealthy, cracked-out addition to your and you would just plug in whatever you have. So this might be something like how to break your unhealthy, cracked-out addiction to your phone, right? If you're trying to teach people how to like be more mindful, be more present in life, so you might plug that in. How to break your unhealthy, cracked-out addiction to wearing the same outfits in your photos, right? So you can plug in something that relates to your industry. Maybe if people are totally addicted to a certain type of like system or like software or something and you're like that's terrible, then break it, right? This is a great headline to use for that. Okay, the sexy body parts you're not using enough, right? So I like that one and you just chop out the sexy body parts and you go, the blank you're not using enough, right? So what are you not using enough? So maybe if we're Nikki and her Pilates business, there's something that they're not using enough, right, to help their body feel more healed or more powerful. You know, maybe for Laren it could be like the dreams you're not using enough, right, or something around that. Like the vision you're not using enough. So again this could work for so many different people. If it's a software, it could be that. Like it applies to everybody (laughs) in this room. So definitely use this one or something like that but that just shows you how it could work. 11 ways to totally dominate your finances. 11 ways to totally dominate your whatever, right, easy to plug in. So totally dominate your industry, totally dominate your body, totally dominate your partner. Whatever. (audience laughs) Like whatever (laughs), whatever you're teaching. Right, like it's up to you, so if that works great. Again, the point is what I like to do is just write down a whole bunch of headlines I love and then I'll try the remixing and sometimes they don't work. Like sometimes it feels totally off for my business, you know, I might like it, but I'm like at the end of the day, I'm not sure I want to totally dominate anything. You know, I love this headline but like, so that's the case, you just scratch it off, right? So there's a couple of examples. Here's another one, how to rekindle the flame between you and your job. I like this one, how to rekindle the flame between you and, so again, this is an obvious one for like relationships. Also for business, also for dreams, also for your body. Right, so many things could plug in there. And I like that's it's like a little romantic without being like too overt so it can slot in for a lot of people. And it's really great for like Valentine's Day-esque. So if you're trying to like tie in with a holiday, this can be a really fun one because people are expecting to read things about love and romance and passion around that time of year. So this can be a really fun one to use and it's also like, when it's surprising and unexpected, even better. So everybody's gonna expect this to say partner, right? And that's okay if it does but if it's like something else, it's really fun, like your business, your dreams, your hobbies, your whatever you wanna plug into there. Your systems, your software, you know whatever. It's like, that's surprising and kind of fun. Alright, this super-simple trick that will curb your sugar cravings. This super-simple trick will curb your whatever, right? So this is about just taking a trick that's gonna curb something. Usually it's a feeling, right? So it might curb their fear. It might curb their anxiety, right? So anything that you wanna plug in there. They're nervous so lots of, this can apply for a lot of you. Photography, particularly, if people are not like professional models. As a family photographer, they're usually not. They may be nervous to enter that situation, right? So super-simple trick to you know curb your nerves. I mean very very simple, very easy to plug something like that in.

I'm only on Lesson 7, but I just felt the need to stop and write a review, even though I haven't finished the entire class yet. This class has sooooo much great content. I completely agree with the woman in the live audience that said she was having so many "light bulb" & "a-ha" moments during the class. I've always wanted to create a months worth of content for social media so that my posts had meaning and I didn't have to stress last minute about having to find something to post about, but when I would start to brainstorm ideas etc. I just wasn't excited about what I would come up with and it felt like such a struggle, I would eventually have to stop because my ideas were minimal and the process was so unenjoyable, like painful haha. But after 7 lessons in this course I feel so excited about generating content and my mind is filled with so many ideas already. I actually feel like creating a months worth of content ideas is not only totally doable, but could actually be enjoyable and by using what i've learned in this class, I feel like the content I create will actually be effective and I'll be proud and excited to post it. This course is totally worth it, hands down. buy it!
