Pose 8: Man Sitting
I like to pose guys with bar stools or some kind of chair with a bottom to it because guys usually standing up this is the extent that they feel comfortable most guys I think that's right like most of time that's all that they feel comfortable doing unless their model so when I give them a bar stool or something to lean on camera I'm gonna go over here for a second like there's no way I'm going to get a guy to do some kind of cool pose standing from the back but it seems he's got something to lean on they start like hi aiken kind of kind of posing this one you know they kind of leave and we've got a little bit more going on so I would definitely consider adding a wall to the equation if you're posing a guy but for a bar stool this next post so have you take a look at it and varieties of it someone have turned towards the light and put your back leg up perfect we'll see if that works okay so this parcel is kind of ok you know ideally it would be a little bit lower so I'm gonna have you ...
lean out onto your front arm okay so we start there were gonna tweak it a little okay so good all right someone tweak this a few times and you could look at me so things that I don't like so far okay so things that I don't like isn't saying all right so he doesn't quite know what to do with this hand so I want to get that place a little bit more purposely and then this arm is coming straight towards camera and I think it's really distracting so whenever you do that same lean but turn arm in exactly okay so now he's got that's going to be better so we'll start with that little move in their perfect so this arm got more pleasing to me more you know a little bit more natural and in this hand is it possible to put your hand in your pocket or yeah that's fine perfect something like that and now look over at me and all through all this just try straighten up a little perfect great so some kind of pose like that I can have him bring this arm over to that hand you get real quick bring up the other way bring that hand over yeah something like that was kind of holding the two hands together I can have him bring this stool is a totally ideal ideally he'd have like one more step up to go but he could bring yeah keeping your hand up to your face in some way you know that's more model posey you know nutritional posing but something like that and I can always change my angles so I can shoot from this side straight on I can shoot full length but something approximately like this shot

I would just like to say wow, it is the simple things that make it the best! Thank you for having Lindsay do this class. She is easy to follow and makes perfect sense. It is all about working smarter and not harder. I will be buying more of her classes because she explains everything so well. This has been the best class that I have purchased thus far. Thank you Lindsay for sharing your tips and expertise! Even if you "think" you know about posing, you can always learn something new. BUY THIS CLASS!

This is a short, concise class, that is filled with great, basic posing information. It's more for the beginner though and while I did take away some excellent points, I wish I'd put the money towards a more advanced Lindsay Adler class that I could have taken more from. She's one of the best teachers on Creative Live, so go for it if you need some solid advice on posing.
