Your New Breath Easy Number

So let's go and revised the breathe easy number again. You could crunch the numbers really good for your homework, But whatever you do, this is just it's promise. It's just gonna be less scary and more motivating when you see these numbers as like a get out of jail earlier than expected. Card. Right? But let's skim. Let's skim these ideas on. But you haven't in your workbook or what you wrote down at home the ways to make money that apply to you or whatever you have at home. And Heather, I'm gonna make you do this specifically. No ways to save money rights. And I want Teoh really encourage you to lower your breathe easy number really challenged the breathe easy number. Um, where is Heather's breathe easy number, like really challenged the breathe easy number because I think that's what holds us back a lot. We tell ourselves we need a year. We need the six months we never and and and we don't so so 10-K might not be that different from 15 k 20 k especially hopefully now that you have th...

ese money making ideas that there is more trust in the fact that if things don't work out in your creative business that you want right away, then you have these other ways to make money very quickly. Right? Um And to add to how Teoh make money once you leave your job, I think this happens more more often recently, I know a lot of employers that will say, Like, I want you to freelance for me or I want you to stay on part time for a longer amount of time. So it's not only about, you know, giving your two weeks and being done with the job. Uh, and that could be something if that appeals to you and me and the job isn't so so sucking that you just want to wash your hands of it and and run screaming into the night. But that's the way a lot of people are working. Hama, who we're gonna talk to really food. Uh, she she's she's doing just that. So she's able to leave the full time piece of the job and just work freelance for her employer, like contract ID for the summer. I think she's doing just gonna let us know. And then in September she is she is a heart stop there. Um, and you know, I think it's worth sending an email to your friends and your family, telling them you are you want to make this transition? Is there anything that they would hire you to do? You're available for freelance contract work, whether it's baby city, whether it's whatever Hammer will have more to say about this. But I know that she had a friend that said like, I know you're the queen of organization. Will you come in and and organize my office in my home on and make a nice amount of money and that doesn't even do with her business. But she's like, Yeah, I'll do that. That sounds great. That's gonna be fun. I'm gonna work with my friends, gonna make some money. So, like, I think in those terms to that when you leave your job, this doesn't have to be this like clear, black and white sort of break. Let's know, too, that if you are 1/2 of a couple, you might you need to pull your partner into this. I originally wrote in my notes. You might want to pull your partner into this. It's not my. You need to pull your partner into this and and welcome this breathe easy number in this timeline as the beginning of a really good heart to heart discussion and a good talk about teamwork. So I mentioned before that my husband told me what he needed to feel comfortable and confident with me. Leaving my job was to make the $60,000 that I made. It is an executive assistant part time. I was doing my side hustle, and once I got over the shock of that, I went back to him and explained to him why I couldn't see that happening and what else I was working towards. He was able to then, like, come, come to the bright side of my reasoning, and we were able to figure something out. That me, both of us happy. So I know that it's scary, but do it soon so that you're on the same page. And you could you could see this now as a team. And I have to tell you, when I was able to look at Luke in December of 2000 and nine and I said to him once I get my bonus in March, I would have hit all those things that we talked about. I think I could give my notice. He's like, Yeah, that's great. Do it. I'm so excited. And that means so much. So know that support build a sturdy or snap a sturdy or safety net action plan on. We're gonna talk all about that, um, tomorrow, best place to get your family on board. But yes. So let's let's talk about what's going on here. Kenna. Oh, I was gonna say, if you want to go to that But, um, what I think it I'm seeing people talk about this Is Debbie, um, starting to look at all these numbers? The thing that that the extra things to make money seem odd to me if you're trying to build something on the side. So if you're working full time and you're already using or extra time to build something else plus trying to keep up at home, who has time for all these extra? Here's how I'm gonna make my things. What? What kind of advice do you have? Yeah, that's a good That's a Protestant and a good point Number one. Don't wait to find the time for any of this. You have to make the time. You're gonna hear me say that. I think over and over the next two days, and what I wanted Teoh achieved with that list of how to save money make money is that they're easy things for you that are might be time consuming. Obviously, if your baby sitting or pet walking or whatever but aren't difficult for you to do aren't difficult for you to bring people in with. And, you know, if you already have your business, it's different for every situation on. And, you know, I didn't want to alienate from this class like, you know, people that don't have their businesses yet versus people that do. If you have a business that's already getting traction and you can count on that money coming in in a study, your wave and someone that's just starting, then you don't need these ideas. Forget him like they're not important. You don't have to Oh, you don't have to look at them, but if not, I just feel like it's the exception rather than the rule to start your creative business and and make the money that you need to be making right away. It just he usually doesn't happen that quickly. So just know everything you say. Uh, today, Tomorrow, feel free to just apply it to your own situation. And if it's not something that you feel you need or isn't right for you, then you know for you maybe you just want to spend more time brainstorming ideas for your business as to how toe how to make money and waste. Teoh bring things in right away, and that could be great. And that's where you want to live. And that's what you want to offer. Amen and hallelujah, just great. So do we have any thoughts, Heather, about maybe lowering the breathe easy number and may be looking at how much you think you can be saving every month? I don't feel like I can really save any or make me right, but I definitely could do a lot of those things to make more money. But I was thinking I could probably do more of those things to make more money if I wasn't working full Well, that's an interesting thing to chew on, I guess, and especially knowing what you take home. If you feel like maybe, you know, you could replace that with your baby sitting. Then that's great. Except that I do get the insurance on Father's from my job. So and that's, you know, before my take home pay. So I get it. There would have to be that piece. I get it. You know, I get it. So it might be worth exploring. Just what other kind of opportunities me there are to do that. But looking at that list of how you could bring money in, is there anything that you have an idea of? Like, I think I could find $50 a month somewhere or based on those money. If I were to do some of those those things, I could probably maybe even $200 a month. Okay. Are we still sticking to 8000 as the breathe easy number? Do we need that much? I don't think I dio thank you. Because I think you're really resourceful to your reliable source for you contrast A long time. And you could trust that you could trust that. What? What? What do we need? Knowing 4200 is three months. Uh, I'm thinking like maybe 6000. I love. I love that. Hey, let's lower this. So 6000 But someone do the math for May. So 6000. Wow. This marker got stinky. Um, 6000. And let's just use that $200 a month, right? $200 a month. 6000. So 200 a month. How long does that take to get to 6000? 30? 30 months? Three months, but somehow long less than three years. I know it seems like a lot, but you can, you know that. Whatever you need, Teoh do to bring this in, um, and shortness you could do from those money generating ideas. I love that. So in your workbook on page you're gonna see a declaration I name can commit to putting away blank each week, month or pay check to go towards diction. My day job with blank as my breathe easy number. This will take me number of weeks, months, years, making my give notice date blank. Of course, if I could find more money to put away towards the school, I will making the Dick state even sooner. I want to make sure whether you have the workbook or not? You are writing this down, right? Because there is something about making this commitment out loud and seeing these numbers that is really gonna like that Fire India booty. Okay, I love it. And make sure to It's so important. Make sure that you keep this picture day job fun in a separate savings account. I don't want to hear that. This is part of your personal checking Where part of your other savings account this needs to be separate. Its that important for you to not only keep track of things, but it's motivational allow you to keep your eye on things so exciting.

Fantastic course! I highly recommend it. Michelle is a wonderful teacher: energetic, passionate, funny, and encouraging. Kenna is also a great facilitator; the most natural and genuine host I've seen so far on Creative Live! Great job both of you. And a well-deserved shout-out to the in-class participants, who were engaged and candid about their own situations. Best of luck to both of you with ditching your day jobs. This class has given me the structure and several practical tools to facilitate my own transition to creative entrepreneurship and out of a soul-sucking job. Michelle shared many supportive messages that made me look more confidently at my "uniquity" and its value in the creative marketplace; as a result, I am now eager to take the action towards building my art business. I will use my S.N.A.P. to comfortably and confidently get to where I want to be, so that I don't snap at my day job in the process ;-)

This course is truly AMAZING! I've been in hyper - forward motion since the first day! Thank you Michelle! This course was honestly different then any other! It gave actionable items, where to find support, and tons of yummy resources (which if very time consuming and somewhat impossible when you have a DAY JOB!) My Day Job is actually "ditching" me but by having a plan (which Michelle gives step by step details how to do), I'm totally comfortable and even EXCITED to be DITCHED! Several items that she shared I've already been able to implement into my creative business plan AND my personal life! Double whammy! I ended up buying the course to make sure I didn't miss anything! Super excited to continue and wish everyone luck on their own creative journey! ~Enjoy!

I was one of the fortunate studio members of this class. Wow! So much great information, step by step instructions, enthusiastic encouragement and fun! Michelle takes you through the baby steps needed to form a solid foundation to get ready to ditch your day job and do it with a plan, a safety net and a support network. A common sense guide to doing something uncommon and (to some) seemingly nonsensical. The videos will teach, inspire and encourage, the workbook will make it real for your own situation and the resources that are provided will be invaluable as you prepare to ditch your day job. You will be so glad you purchased this class!
