What does your SNAP Consist of?
So what is your snap consist of? We're here. Yea. OK, we're gonna take your breathe easy goals and your face one pieces and we're gonna make them into something actionable and deadline driven. And the way we start with this I just mentioned this earlier is to do a brain dump, right? Short bullet points. Just getting it out of your head on what you need to do to take action on diction. Your day job. Everything we've uncovered today is your cheat sheet, right? So take your workbook or take the notes that you've been writing in today, yesterday, and And look through these things, right? Leasers things that make up your snap. This is what we want to write down for the brains up in the brand and the place to do the brains up is on page 60 of your workbook. If you're working in your workbook, so your breathe easy number, right? That is definitely gonna be part of your snap. You're give notice. Date. We set the breathe easy number in the give notice state yesterday. That's gonna be part of yo...
ur stamp. Right back down in the brain dump section. Your support squad There's anything active you need to do with your support squad. That is part of your snap. You're phase one. Business tools. Right? So, you know, website, business cards, Twitter, that's all part of your face. One to a question. Okay, Good. You had a look on your daily. Good. I'm gonna go through an example first, because I think that's just gonna be the best way to do this, right? So here's the start of just an example that I made up. Let's say breathe easy number for this example is $3000. That was said yesterday that we figured out yesterday and they give notice. Date is January 2016 right? Just, in example, pulled out of the sky. Everyone should have. This is part of their snap. This should probably be the first thing on everyone's step. Start a savings account named Dick Scher Day job fund. Right. This is all part of the breathe easy number. And then for this made up person scheduling $100 a week automatically, right? That this part of the breathe easy number. So what are the tangible action steps that make up your breathe easy number and your give noticed. State. We want them here. Now. We kind of looked towards the face. One pieces. Right. So let's use this made up example. Start a blogged, being more active on instagram, open an Etsy shop with three products and design and order business cards and set up a newsletter list I thought we were doing We weren't. So this is this person's phase one that they feel is a need and a now. So I want to hear what is your snap brain dump your breathe easy. Your phase one and your support squad. If there's something active there that you need, I hope you're all writing it down and sharing it in the chat. We want to hear what makes up your snap brained. Um Heather, what are you What do you flipping? I'm glad to see you flip in. Uh, well, I have my, um My foot is called my number. My number. Thank you. You're welcome of it. So I have my breathe easy number, which we determined yesterday with $6000. Um, based on my intention, uh, saving $200 a month, huh? That would be around December of 2017. great. So that's that, um, start a savings account. Um, and schedule on auto deposit to savings. So is all this earmark? I mean, I don't have very much room to wiggle, but okay, so that I know I'm regularly doing that, And I know I'll interrupt you for just one second. Because yesterday when we talked with you, you know that putting that money away, isn't it? You can't earmark money from your paycheck because it's not there. So it's about being proactive in terms of selling things or finding other ways to make money. So part of the brain dump could be, you know, find a new way every month to make the $200 or, like, you know, something proactive around that, because it's gonna be consistent, that you're gonna need to bring that money. That's true. Yeah. Um, and then, um, continue blogging and my blawg and, um yeah, yeah, fabulous. I would say to that maybe the purple pants like getting getting just like a girl or something like something, since you know that's the name of the business or switching the block that you have to be purple pants. Something easy like that is rightly. Yeah, it's really great. What about you? Um, my breathe easy number is I'm not fully confident with that, because I know it's something that I need to discuss with my husband and figure that out. But I'm thinking of my give notice. Date would be in around a year and 1/2. Okay, Great. That gives me enough time. Especially given that I'm working half time. Yes, I have that flexibility to still have extra time to be able to put into the business, which is great. And you might get that great consulting gig. That would be great. Really wonderful. Um, so opening a savings account, setting up the auto deposit just so I can have something we automatically happening. And I don't have to think about it. That might know that that money is getting saved up. Rework my blawg things transferred over and work on my branding. Great. Um, get a business started, get a business card. Because even at an event I was out last weekend, I was asked about like we were exchanging business cards and I didn't have anything to give them. Yeah, that again. It's a missed opportunity. Yeah. Um and then I wanted, at least in the in the beginning I want to create. My goal is to create four products, have a couple of a couple of nature prints in a couple of maps. Great. Um, focus on that starting Etsy shop and put those those prints up their head. Um, and continue blogging. Set up a regular blogging scale where these air the tangible action steps that I'm gonna plug into what's gonna help me ditch my day job and feel comfortable and confident section my day job. So we want we want to hear about it in the chat. But let's at this point just move on. So we could I could give you the rest of this example cause we're gonna learn how to set deadlines, which I feel like is really difficult for us. You know, creative thinkers, right? So let's figure out Howard prioritizing and attaching deadlines and the way I like to do that is just asking yourself a simple question. Does anything need to happen? I should have put that word in capitalist to Does anything need to happen before X happens? So for the example that I gave you right started Blawg. Open your Etsy shop with three products. Start a newsletter list. Be more active on instagram. I I made that example on purpose because, um, the only thing that I see that has to happen before something else is that you probably want your Etsy shop. You are l. Before you make your business cards and still a to make your business cards and have your tea shop you earl. But everything else could happen in whatever timeline you need. You could start blogging first and then open your shop, then have a newsletter list. Or you can open up your shop and then blogged and then of the business cards. It doesn't matter, right? It's a blessing and a curse to do this work in 2015 because there is no formula and their infinite options. So the good news is that you could pretty much do whatever you want, and the bad news is that you could pretty much do whatever you want. But the Onley wrong move is to not do anything at all, so at least just pick one thing right, and I think that this is really key in a time management piece for us creatives Because with our snap, hopefully you're going to see you know you're going to see a bunch of different branches of your business, right? And the action steps you want to take. And I'm we talked about this a little bit yesterday. I'm a big proponent of followed the ease so you might sit down and say, OK, according to my step, I should work on my blog's today. I don't want to work on my blawg. I want to work on designing my business cards, then working, designing your business like, seriously, Then then then it doesn't. It doesn't matter unless you're gonna miss your deadline so much or what it's it's probably not going to matter. So when you have the list of things that you need to dio, ask yourself, you know, where do I feel the flow right now? What am I looking forward, Teoh, and and you could avoid the things that feel really hard, of course, noticed. If you keep avoiding the same thing over and over and over again, you might need to change that thing or let go of it or just force yourself through it. So all of these things hopefully will help you follow through. So let that Yes, Kenna happens is you know, then they start to flow in the answer. So I want to acknowledge the people who are actually doing the work writing down what their stables are so sassy. Seamstress setting a daily schedule, working on our newsletter, building better support already in the business. So some of the other stuff is already done. Great. Awesome. Angie Designed website and Facebook page gather mailing list. Open Pepsi and Post something. Something set up. Savings account. Lee Rose. Great. Five products set up in EP C shop branding starting a block, being more active on social media and it continues. So good work, you guys. I love hearing that I'm smiling so big right now, So let's go back to the example, and I'm gonna just work through deadlines and prioritization and hopefully this is gonna help you with your own list, right? So let's start with what's easiest. What's easiest is starting a savings account named Dick Scher Day job fund, and I told you in the last it meant go to Capital 13 60. You don't even need to lug your savings account needs. Contact your bank. This will take you 5 10 minutes, tops. This is gonna be do today. There is no reason not to do it. And because this plan you noticed that the breathe easy number and they give notice state are directly related to each other, right? All the other things that we need to do for a business could work around that The money peace I find is the most important piece. So the longer you wait to start that fund and the longer you wait to put money in its scheduling, $100 a week automatically is also do today because it will take you another five or 10 minutes. You start that today, you are able to reach your give notice date, or get there sooner than you think, as opposed to waiting a few weeks and then having to push your give, noticed it out, and then you cry and I cry. And then it's sad for everyone, which is a bad Okay, so the rest of these tasks could really take place in any order. The breathe easy number is obviously the culmination of everything that we're saving. So that kind of comes at the end. And that's not even necessarily an action step because the savings account and the scheduling the money is the action steps so long as you keep sending the money. Uh, you do that today, you'll have $3000 by January of 20 16 right? So let's look at these examples these air harder to prioritize things from our Phase one and our support squad. Right? So what we want to do is kind of go with our gut and make them as measurable and as bite size as you can. So this very first point started log started. Blawg needs to be more imaginable, We need to say, And I think Liz, you said something like this, like start a block and post X amount of times or like started blawg, Um, and with three posts and then post weekly every week, that's what we need to dio. But there's a lot of things to do to start a blogged, right? So if you know that you're going to sit down and say it's time to start a blawg and you're gonna be overwhelmed because these are the pieces to start a block that I could think of. You have to pick a platform. You have to You have to figure out where your posting and then and then create that account. You need to come up with the name for your blog's. You need to figure out the design of your bog. You need to write your block posts. You need to load your block posts. You need to publish the blogged. You need to tell people that the blogger exists because this is not field of dreams. And you need to put up a new post weekly right so we can make things that bite size. And you can build that into your snap. Right? So for for our purposes here today, we're not gonna have your snap be that micro because we're looking at just the broader steps. But no. Especially if you have the workbook. You could just print out the snap page over and over again and know that you could take the bigger action steps that are part of your overall snap and break them down with the new snaps. So, considering all the things you have to do to start a vlog, let's say that that Blawg is due August 15th. So we're giving ourselves two months from today from when we're taping this to to build this block, which I feel like is a pretty nice amount of time and again it's up to you. If you want to give each thing baby steps, you don't have to. It's just how you work best and how you know what A conquer your own roadblocks. Right? So the more active on instagram moving on that is not measurable at all. Right? What does that mean? Be more active. It doesn't mean anything. But we changing this to post five pictures a week on instagram. And, you know, you don't have to be, like so crazy anal about it. But just that first, it's gonna help you get into the groove and make build up your confidence, make you feel like, Yeah, I hit those five posts. Great. Love it. So because this isn't that hard or time consuming, we're going to start this in two weeks. We're going to say this is due July 1st, we're going to start doing this building into our calendar. You could use that balance out to say, like post on instagram and set it for five times a week. And it's gonna come up and tell you, you know, you should think about posting to Instagram soon. It's a really great way to just keep that top of mind without necessarily having toe put it in your calendar or anything like that. Now, as you can imagine, opening an Etsy shop with three products, there is a bunch of steps to that, right? So you have to figure out the shop name and create an account you need to make the products you need to price the products you need a photograph, the products you need to figure out shipping costs and what you're gonna charge for that packaging, bio and profile shot policies and finally lists things right. So this is probably our biggest action step that's gonna take us the most amount of time in considering that today right now, as of this taping is June 12th and that we have till January to give our notice. Let's give ourselves a nice amount of time. Let's say October 1st is when we're opening our Etsy shop with three products. Now that we have that set looking at the business card. And remember I mentioned earlier. You don't want to get the business cards. Leave the Etsy shop. You are l. And you probably want the business cards for when the shop opens. Let's just say like September 15th we're gonna We're gonna order the business cards right? That's that's great. You'll have you. You are L. Because you'll be working on your Etsy shop in the background and you'll have those cards for your October 1st launch in terms of setting up a newsletter list. There's a learning curve here, right? Milk shrimp that I told you that you shouldn't be using anything else but male Chip is very intuitive, but there's definitely a learning curve, so this could be something where you don't want to worry about it. You're doing everything else and let's say that let's let's do that October 15th um, pulling it out of the sky and by doing all of these things kind of going with our gut and being realistic to the time that we have and making the time right, we now have our snap. Who? Here's the example. Snap. For those of you that have the workbook, this is on page 63 all this kind of hard to read. The type is a little weird, but let's go through it. I made this chronological so you could easily go through it, right? So Step one, start Capital 13 60. Savings account name Dick showed a job fund Dio today. 6 12 15 Step two, scheduled $100 a week automatically into the account from my personal checking Dio today at 6 12 15 3 post five pictures a week on instagram deadline. July 1st, Right, So in the next thing that we're looking at and then you get a prize, I kind of got it semantically I was like, When I call this the reward, I think No, it's a prize. I love it. It gives us the fun and gives us the motivation. Gives us a way to celebrate the small steps, right? So it might not feel you might not feel worthy having a prize by, like, just starting up your savings account and and being more active on Instagram. But you too. So that prize is a bubble bath, because that's my favorite thing for long. She blogged with three posts, right? That's due on August 15th. Start Blogging Weekly. I made this a separate action step. I kind of put it in one for the brain's, um, but I put it out here because I wanted to be able to see that like, it's not just launching my blawg. It's to keep longing. So I made that due August 19th so the block goes up on the 15th. By the 19th. I have another post once that's done, and that's a pretty big deal, right? Having your block be active and posting on it Friday night Lights marathon on Netflix Man. Nothing could top that. That's so that's a good night. That's your prize. Number six were ordering the business cards by September 15th. Number seven opened my Etsy shop with three products and then you get another prize because that's huge, right? You get a girls night out, which is gonna be really fun, and the number eight set up my newsletter list due October 15th and nine. Dicks. My day job, January 30th 2016 and then you party. I had an escape from corporate America party the end of my last day and again, it doesn't have to be anything expensive, but I told my friends I'm going to be at this bar. Join May. And it was, uh It was a great way to just mark this whole journey and start yourself off on a really good foot. So I would I would encourage the party as part of the celebration. So I want you guys to fill in your snap and what I love in the shot. Obviously, I would love for people to take pictures of their snaps. I was going to say they can definitely tweet it. If nothing tweet, tweet it with the day job, Dick hashtag or come, too, when I grow up coach dot com slash day job Dick joined my private Facebook group and post it there because then you're gonna get my eyes on it. You're gonna connect with each other. That would be really great to see that, right? And when you fill it out, posted some place that you're looking at it all the time so that you could keep it in your mind. So obss send me questions. This is this is a time in the segment that we get questions and I'm gonna give Liz and Heather Sometime, Teoh, right? Their own snaps. And then? And then we're gonna peek over your shoulders and see. But are either one of you stuck at this point or having any challenges with putting these things down? Figure out the orders, huh? What order to do things that, uh, you want to work through it? Sure. You're a real quick. Sure. Okay, so we have the obvious beginnings of starting the account and that setting money aside, um, I think I want Oh, the first thing I want to do is rework my blawg. Great. Used the oil that I bought, which is one thing we didn't talk about was actually getting the girl waiting part one of the other tools. But, uh, eso getting my girl changed on my block and we working it, um, then in terms of I want to create for products, I want to have a little bit more to put in my Etsy shop. But I think I need to have separate deadlines. Great for each of the each of the do it breakdown of each of the products. Love it, Onda. I'm interrupting me for a second because obviously these nine steps like is not one size fits all. So if you need more steps, just know that you could add them. Give yourself a prized every two or three steps if you need less steps than just cross them out. No bigs. So do what works for you. I mean, this is pretty, you know, this is a pretty easy chart to just make on your home computer. Also, it's and you could always if you want things to be really pretty or whatever, you can make a template for yourself and just kind of add and subtract as you need it. So that's a thanks for reminding me to say that, um and, um as I'm creating the products, I also want to start blogging regularly schedule so that I can also document the products that I'm creating. Maybe do some behind the scenes if I could. And I have to deal with that. Perfectionism s so putting putting that out there, I want todo. But I would encourage you to start a series of, like, behind the scenes Tuesday or something like that, right? So that you're accountable to that and that your audience comes to expect it and I think that will make it easier for you actually to share, because you know that your audience is waiting for it. And then it's like behind the scenes Tuesday and you better something. It's a great suggestion. And, uh, the other thing that I need to do is create my logo. Uh huh. I want to try doing that myself. Okay. And so that would come sometime before I start the Etsy shop. Great. Um, and get my business cards. Okay, I have. And I'm I'm flashing back to the last segment. I think a poppel, it or a mind map. You could do this on paper To might work better for you than a plan like this, right? So don't feel like you have to stick to this format. If you want a mind map, that could work a lot better, because again, the things that you mentioned I don't want to say that it doesn't matter what comes first, but it sounds like, you know, especially with your Etsy shop products. You're probably going to be creating a product while you're making your logo while you're writing a block post. So whatever you need to do Teoh keep your your focus. That's the F word in my book for multi, passionate, creative people. I try to avoid it, but to keep your folk t be able to follow through, it might not matter. If you are doing a product working on your logo, you just know. Oh, this month, I'm kind of working on all of these things. Eso however you wanna spread it out for yourself could work really well. Yeah, And one thing that I love about what you talk about is choosing something as long as you choose something from the list that needs to get done. Whatever. Like if I'm not, it's a waste of time to sit there and start my blawg. I like when I know I could be drawing are being something else that was more productive. Absolutely, especially when you're at the point in your business, it's one thing. If you are under an external deadline and you told your client or customer that you need something right, then it's like then it's important, you know, or you have been telling everyone follows your website. I'm gonna launch this thing at 10 p.m. On Friday like people are waiting for it. That's the only time I feel like you gotta follow through and you might just need to force yourself through it. But if not that thing, don't don't torture yourself, but still, you know, follow through. Keep to your deadlines as best you can. Yeah, so that that's that is one question is if we said we set hard deadlines for ourselves. I guess you know, it's not necessarily hard deadline because weaken changing, adjust. Um, but how to be able to stay on track while still keeping those deadlines set weekly goals. And as you say, Do we go back and re visit once a week? Yeah, I'm going to get to after our questions. We go through this, we're gonna talk about what I feel are the best practices to ensure that you follow through. But I again I think it's what works for you. So I have short weekly meetings with myself, right to go over the week. That just happened to schedule the week that's to come, and then every month. I love actually the Passion Planner, which was a big, viral, crazy Kickstarter success, and it's a it's a paper planner. You could actually get the entire planner as a Pdf download on the Passion plan on our website. Otherwise, you could order it and get a bound, soft cover book. She's gorgeous, and it has you at the beginning of the planner like Make your mind map for your one month goals. Your three month goals, your six month goals. You're like two year goals. You know that sort of thing, which is really great. And then it has you plug in based on your mind map and where you set your deadlines into the calendar what you're doing. And so I don't use the calendar actually, as a calendar, cause I worked from my Google calendar and I have my project management system. But I love those planning pages, and they also have pages at the end of every month that says, you know, how do you rate this month on a scale of 1 to 10? What is the most memorable thing about this month? What do you wish you did differently? How do you like or dislike where you spent your time? So it's asking you, you know, like eight questions every month that if you just go over an answer at I spend about an hour at the end of every month, or maybe two, answering those questions in The Passion Planner, looking at the next month and looking at the reports that I get from my bookkeeper because I trust her to dio her work totally. But I want to see what's coming in. And I plugged them into my own spreadsheet like I have a business meeting a big one at the start of the month for the months prior and that that works really well for me. So figure that out and then I have quarterly business meetings to at the end of the quarter. I answer the same sort of questions from The Passion Planner, but for the quarter, and I look at the whole quarters, finances and my goals. And did I meet them and said I not? And why not? I'm a constant Nancy Drew, like I keep my experiment hat on constantly. So So see your business through that lens. Keep your own Nancy Drew Hardy boys hat on, and you'll be able to really see what's working in your business and you'll be able to build on it and you'll see what it might be. Time to let go of or speak or change. Uh huh. Have Ah, you're done writing? Yes. Um, I'm not completely finished. That's okay. So start a savings account. Um, I am going to schedule an automatic deposit. Uh, even if it's just $5 that way, at least I am taking action that, you know, I love it. Um, I want to design business cards right away because I have a couple of events coming up in the next month that I need to have. Yeah, right. And I love that. See, that's a really good external deadline to I'm stopping you there. Sorry. And pointing at you. Getting excited. That's what I do when I get excited. I'm rude. And I point out people, uh, like what Stephanie mentioned about her. Her the first farmers market that she did What away? Teoh her butt in gear. Right. So, knowing signing up, I know you're going to the World domination Summit conference, which is a really great conference, and that's in July, right? So that is what, like, three weeks. So knowing you're gonna be at that conference signing up for these external things are gonna light a fire and keep you on task. Usually better than you can do yourself. So don't be afraid to maybe make part of your snap, like sign up for a conference or, um, craft show or a wholesale exhibit or whatever. Great. Continue, please. That was my 3rd 1 So that it takes me to my first prize, which will be a movie night with my girls. So probably Netflix movie or something like that. But, um, And then rework, create purple pants, blogged, um, and then scheduled to block weekly grown for that kind of lump that all together love it. I have a feeling, though. Correct me. If I'm wrong, I'm still pointing at you. We need to get the purple pans block u R l Before you order the business cards, right? Yeah. Well, so the I haven't looked at purple pants. Blawg? Yeah. I just looked at purple pants dot Common. That one is available for thousands of dollars. Because we grow up right? Is because it's based on common words is what the reasoning is. So a lot of a lot host, I think, actually, um, dream dream host is what I use and recommend. And I think when you look to buy u R l if that that one isn't available, it'll say, Here's what's available and it'll give you like variations on that. So maybe like purple dash pants dot com or, you know, purple pants girls dot com or something, try to see. That's why I am when I grow up coach dot com instead of when I grow up dot com Because who has money? Right, And it's totally fine. It doesn't make a difference. So you're right. So doing so get making sure have that before doing the cards. Okay, before. And then I would say to you knowing that you're gonna hand out those cards reworking your blog's as best you can so that when someone takes that card from World Domination Summit, it goes back to their hotel room and is looking up everyone that they met this site is at least a basic placeholder or something to say. Um, you re plans Blawg. I am power. You know, teenage girls, too, uh, challenge society's conventions and choose the life they want to live or whatever we we figured out for you. Um, and you know if you could get a newsletter list started or something great Otherwise, like, here's my Twitter accounts. Follow me. Here is my and given one post or something like that. Whatever basic saying you can get done between now and then. Great, but you are l business cards. Update the blog's so that it's reads what you want it to when people go to the site, right? Eso Then the next thing was asked, um, let friends and family know what I'm doing and asked them for projects to earn extra money so gray and as well as keeping an eye out for other projects. Great love that I can dio Teoh earn more money to be put into that savings account. Hey, I feel like craigslist. You know, crisis gets a bad rep, but for creative work and things, it might be a really great place to just troll for a bit and see what people are offering, and maybe extra work that you could pick up. But I love love. I know you've been listening. Teoh say that you're you're starting that search by talking to your friends and family, sending them an email or call him saying anything that needs to happen. I'm open. I know you mentioned baby sitting yesterday. You know, whatever else you feel, you couldn't do confidently for some money, like, don't be afraid of offering or then just saying There's something that you need that you think I'd be great at. Let me know I'm open. It's so great, really great. That's in a really exciting start, Really exciting. Mm, I have. For starters, I have a question for you. Really, Rose, who says If we have multiple business ideas, is it good to make separate snaps for each of those? Oh, I don't want her head to explode. Oh, it worries me, right? It's This is really hard because I'm section multi passionate, and I and I want to encourage the and right. I think that it's very, very viable to make a living as a and I have a former client who I interviewed for this topic in my last creative life class. Create your dream career high. Leslie De Santis. She's an Etsy shop called when Guinea Pigs fly, where she does guinea pig paintings and drawings, and she has books and stuff. She's a model on and she also at the time of the classes, training to be a Seuss, and she wound up not finishing school for that. But she's still like she models and she has her Etsy shop and they're not related. Uh, and it's fine. There's no there's no way to kind of threat it together, But she makes money from both those things, and that's a grown up living doing the things that she loves. Um, but they didn't both happen at the same time. Like she had our Etsy shop. She built it up, and then she finally found the courage to follow her dreams of being a model. So that kind of came after. So, you know, I think it goes back to that question of what's in need and and now and maybe be a bit honest with yourself as to what's gonna be too much for you, Um, and what you could do Well, now and what's easy for you, right? Uh, so I think that could be a great place to start and then just know the other stuff might not be part of your initial snap. It might not be part of your initial phase. one, but it might be face to face three. It might be the snap that you're making for next year is posted this year, for example. Eso I think that that's that's it's It's hard, and it's a hard question, I think the answering general cause I'd want to know more about her specific plan. Eso you know, if she wants, she could go to my website and hit the contact page and write me an email, and I will I will totally respond to you. It might take me a while, but I'd be happy toe here more and help. Kind of figure that out. Mm. Seeing in the chat rooms, Michelle, is that people are putting out some of their many snaps. Putting some dates on their Cheryl has been the weight has, um And then they're saying while it feels really good just to write it down somewhere and put it out there publicly, that about their accountability, but easy a, um and I just want to reemphasize again, though to that point you talked when we first started talking about this. Take a photo of your list, huh? And go put it in the Facebook group. join the Facebook group that you can go to your site when I grew up. Coach dot com slash day job ditch, huh? And then you're going to send people invitations and take a picture and put it there. You guys are gonna do that, right? Yeah. Yeah. Hey, when you physically see it, it's something very different. And the person who I just said to email me, I don't see Don't email me. But if you join the Facebook group, that's even better than emailing me because I'm there and 300 other people are there, and I I always pinch myself at the the caliber of people who resonate with the work that I dio and just how frickin nice are on a helpful they are, and smart and resourceful. I've yet, thankfully, to encounter a troll or anyone that makes things that I do difficult like. Everyone is here, toe do their work and raise each other up. And so you won't only get my feet back, but you'll get the help and expertise and wisdom of 300 other creatives that are going down the same path. And that and that is amaze balls. So do that instead, and then I'll still chime in. But you'll be able to get more support and advice and and feedback before we do the very last thing that we're supposed to do. Are there more questions that came in? So I do have a question from Nicole M. Who says any advice on good breathe? Easy number for someone who is a stay at home mom. Eso essentially our physical eyes. Er care Ford, but I'm not really sure what to include in that. Breathe easy. No, that's a really great question. And I think I always feel like I answer everything with, like, you're not gonna like this. Answer. This is something to work on with your with your husband, your family. Um, and like the client that I mentioned earlier, who says like she works kind of for the fund money? Uh, it's a nice because she doesn't necessarily have the pressure that she has to bring in this money, right? Sometimes we have the pressure that you have to bring in this money, otherwise your run isn't being paid. You are not being fed. Your Children aren't getting closed like that's That's one stress. If you don't have that, then things could maybe be a bit more. Relax, right? Maybe things could be a bit more free flowing. Maybe your breathe easy number isn't isn't as important or isn't as big of a part of your safety net action plan as other people. But in sitting down with your spouse and having this conversation on and saying, You know, what do we need? What do we need to keep the kids in camp? Or what do we need to make sure that we could still get the baby sitter once a week, work together to find your your necessities and your non negotiables and then based or breathe easy number on that as opposed to, you know, the numbers that we did with rent and mortgage and insurance and gas and car payments and all the other you know, scary grown up things on. Know that, like, that's a really great you know, place to be. What a blessing, right that you don't have Teoh bring in a certain amount of money and order to survive, but that if you're working for you know, the funds stuff or the extracurricular stuff, uh, then, you know, figure, figure out what that is with your spouse and what's important to the two of you

Fantastic course! I highly recommend it. Michelle is a wonderful teacher: energetic, passionate, funny, and encouraging. Kenna is also a great facilitator; the most natural and genuine host I've seen so far on Creative Live! Great job both of you. And a well-deserved shout-out to the in-class participants, who were engaged and candid about their own situations. Best of luck to both of you with ditching your day jobs. This class has given me the structure and several practical tools to facilitate my own transition to creative entrepreneurship and out of a soul-sucking job. Michelle shared many supportive messages that made me look more confidently at my "uniquity" and its value in the creative marketplace; as a result, I am now eager to take the action towards building my art business. I will use my S.N.A.P. to comfortably and confidently get to where I want to be, so that I don't snap at my day job in the process ;-)

This course is truly AMAZING! I've been in hyper - forward motion since the first day! Thank you Michelle! This course was honestly different then any other! It gave actionable items, where to find support, and tons of yummy resources (which if very time consuming and somewhat impossible when you have a DAY JOB!) My Day Job is actually "ditching" me but by having a plan (which Michelle gives step by step details how to do), I'm totally comfortable and even EXCITED to be DITCHED! Several items that she shared I've already been able to implement into my creative business plan AND my personal life! Double whammy! I ended up buying the course to make sure I didn't miss anything! Super excited to continue and wish everyone luck on their own creative journey! ~Enjoy!

I was one of the fortunate studio members of this class. Wow! So much great information, step by step instructions, enthusiastic encouragement and fun! Michelle takes you through the baby steps needed to form a solid foundation to get ready to ditch your day job and do it with a plan, a safety net and a support network. A common sense guide to doing something uncommon and (to some) seemingly nonsensical. The videos will teach, inspire and encourage, the workbook will make it real for your own situation and the resources that are provided will be invaluable as you prepare to ditch your day job. You will be so glad you purchased this class!
