Introduction and What You're Going to Learn
Hello and welcome to this course on songwriting with A I. My name is Peter Darling. I'm a professional songwriter and musician and lecturer in popular music and songwriting. And I'm really excited to show this course to you today. I've been songwriting for decades now and I've had my work used on TV, advertising and with other artists and I've been using A I as a means to augment and improve the work that I've been making. It's really exciting. So I'm hoping this course might be useful for you. This course is for potentially people who are complete beginners to songwriting. Maybe you've always wanted to write a song, but you didn't feel like you could, well A I is your friend and is gonna be able to help you to generate ideas and then show you ways that you can bring your own passion and creativity and make a song at the end of it. This course is also for people who might be really accomplished guitarists or pianists or beat makers or even people who write poetry and are really clever ...
with words. This course is meant to be to show you different tools that can help you improve and shore up any deficiencies that you might have within your songwriting as well. We're also gonna be showing you different A I tools that you can use. Some of which are completely free and some of which are relatively cheap options that you can use. So they are paid. But we've tried to find ones that are as accessible as possible to someone who's just starting out using A I. So you can kind of test the waters and see what works for you before you want to invest more money into it. So we're gonna be looking at different factors like looking at tools to help you with lyrics, looking at tools to help you with chord progressions, looking at tools that will help you with melodies. We're also gonna be looking at tools that can help with arrangement and even A I tools to help you with vocals to help sing your song as well. So the method we're gonna use is we're gonna write a song from scratch and we're gonna use different tools showing you how you can use each one. And then we're gonna input those ideas into logic and we're gonna have hopefully a song by the end of it that has been using A I throughout also as well. We're gonna have Thomas who's gonna be diving into chat G BT and how you can use that and looking at some other ways that you can use A I to generate vocals as well for your song. So thanks so much for watching this video and I'll see you in the next one.
