General FAQs

Can I download classes without the Downloader?

Yes, you can still download lessons individually like before by going to the class page and clicking on the download icon for each lesson. See screenshots and instructions here.

Can I download classes if I'm a subscriber?

You can only download classes that you purchased individually.

How do I log in to the Downloader App?

When you first launch the app, there will be instructions on how to log in. It will open a page on your browser where you can connect your account to the Downloader app. You'll then be brought back into the app as your logged-in user.

What can I do if I don't have enough disk space?

The Downloader App only automates downloads of full classes in HD. To select smaller versions of the videos or to only choose individual lessons, visit the class page and click individual download links.

Why does it say it will take hours (or days) to download?

First, make sure you are on a fast internet connection. Each lesson is a HD video file that can be hundreds of megabytes in size, and each class often has 10+ lessons. A 20Mbps connection will take 2 minutes to download a 300MB file, whereas a 1Gbps connection could download the same file in 2.4 seconds! Note that downloading over WiFi can drastically decrease download speeds; we often see a 1Gbps fiber connection only downloading at 200Mbps over wireless. Connect directly to your router for the fastest speeds.

What software do I need to play back the class videos?

The default media players for your OS (QuickTime on MacOS and Media Player on Windows) can play the MP4 video format used for our videos. However, we recommend installing a third-party video player for a better experience. VLC is a great free player that lets you easily load a list of video files as a playlist. If you have many classes, Plex or Jellyfin are great options for media servers that let you organize your content into libraries and watch on your TV or any of your devices.
