1 So we don't wanna work on the mask. 2 So we're gonna click on the adjust button 3 or the edit button here. 4 And now we're gonna go in and edit the entire photo. 5 And the mask is just kind of underlying the entire photo. 6 Now, if we go back to our original photo 7 that we were working on, 8 so that we want to take these settings, the adjustments, 9 and the skin smoothing, 10 and we want to apply it to all of the images, 11 all I have to do is go to the grid. 12 And this is very different than Lightroom Classic. 13 So if I didn't go to the grid, 14 if I was just here inside of the edit area, 15 so this is what we call the detail view. 16 If I were to click here, I could copy the edit settings, 17 and then I can click on the next one and I can paste 'em. 18 So you see how this button turns from copy to paste. 19 So then I click paste 20 and it pastes everything from here to there. 21 And you notice that it had to use the AI, 22 so it copied the AI settings, 23 which meant it had to...
call up the cloud 24 and do its AI thing so that it could find her face. 25 And that's fine, but that would be lame to go through 26 and copy each one of these and then paste them. 27 But I can also click on this image 28 and shift-click to this image. 29 And then if I hit paste, 30 it's gonna paste it onto 13 photos. 31 You can also come back to the grid 32 and you can copy the settings. 33 You could also do that just by hitting Command+C 34 for copy settings, 35 and then highlight everything by hitting Command+A, 36 and then go into the paste settings and click paste. 37 And it's going to merge that with 83 photos. 38 So I'm just sending it on to 83 photos. 39 It's pasting that work. 40 But remember, it has to do all that AI work as well. 41 So it's gonna do AI on 83 photos. 42 So this means that all of the photos are going 43 to have skin smoothing on them right from the beginning. 44 And so I don't have to show an image 45 that's not really nice to begin with. 46 Now we'll have to go through the images, 47 so it's finished adjusting 'em. 48 So now we'll just have to go through the images 49 and look for outliers, 50 things that maybe the flash didn't work too well on, 51 or it was a little darker. 52 Like for instance, I'm gonna hit Command+D 53 so that we deselect, 54 and I'm just gonna look at some of these darker ones. 55 Now, keep in mind some of the darker ones, 56 I made them darker 57 because I was just showing comparisons 58 between flash off, flash on, in this one, 59 this is what happens if you turn off the main light 60 and you just have the glowy top down-light showing, 61 see the difference, 62 and so that's just showing the difference. 63 So I'm not gonna try and use this one to show it to her. 64 That's just an example shot. 65 Same with these shots. 66 They don't really matter, 67 but there might be one that like this 68 could use a little work, 69 or more importantly, maybe it needs a crop. 70 So if I hit the C key for crop, which is different, 71 remember Lightroom Classic, it's R for crop, 72 but here it's C for crop. 73 So they actually got that keyword right, 74 or that keystroke right. 75 So I'm gonna hit the C key 76 and I'm just gonna renegotiate the crop, bring it down, 77 and then hit the C key to get rid of it. 78 And then I'm gonna go to the grid, 79 and I'm gonna just scan through here. 80 If I click on this one 81 and hit crop, 82 I'm gonna hit the shift key, drag it up, 83 spin it a little bit, bring it to the right just, 84 or the left a little bit. 85 Now these are darker photos here. 86 So from here to here, those are all darker photos. 87 So now I'm gonna go to the develop, edits, 88 and I'm going to just bring up the exposure 89 a little bit like that. 90 And then I need to copy these settings. 91 So again, I gotta go in 92 and say, oh, so notice how the default is this. 93 So it went right back to the original. 94 You can always click on this triple dot button 95 and reset the default. 96 So if you always wanted it to only choose certain things. 97 So if you were like, I never want the masking chose 98 unless I copy it specifically, 99 or I never want whatever, you can choose that. 100 But this is a pretty good default. 101 So I'm gonna copy everything and then I'm gonna go here. 102 You know what, I don't want to copy the crop though, 103 'cause all the rest of these are cropped okay, 104 so I am gonna go in 105 and I'm just gonna turn off the crop in geometry 106 and hit copy. 107 And then I'm gonna go into these guys here. 108 And I'm just gonna paste the settings, merge that, 109 I really like the dark, kind of moody look to these. 110 I know that we have a couple things 111 that we could work on, but for the sake of time 112 and for showing you the next steps, 113 we're going to call these done. 114 Now, it's important to note that all of the adjustments 115 that I've just made, that I've been working on, 116 if I go back over here to my iPad, 117 you can see that all of that is now on the iPad as well. 118 So you're seeing all of the adjustments 119 that I've made have made their way over onto the iPad. 120 And so I can then continue to work on 'em here 121 inside of Lightroom on my laptop, 122 or I can take my iPad with me somewhere, 123 out into the living room on the couch, 124 somewhere comfortable, 125 or I can take 'em on a plane with me. 126 And instead of having a big laptop open, 127 I can just kind of play with them on the iPad 128 and I can choose through the three the very best, 129 give them some three, four, or five star ratings, 130 and then I can take the other ones that I think, eh, 131 they're not as good as I thought they were, 132 and I can just kind of release those out into the wild. 133 I can delete them and let them go. 134 And the great thing is, is once I've deleted them, 135 remember, they're still on this hard drive, 136 so they're still on the original hard drive, 137 so you've never actually deleted the originals, 138 but you have the best 139 of the best up on the cloud. 140 You can access 'em on your laptop inside of Lightroom. 141 You can access 'em up in the cloud via a web browser. 142 You can access 'em on your phone or on your iPad, 143 and you can access them inside of Lightroom Classic 144 on your desktop, 145 everywhere that you wanna work on your photos, 146 they're available to you.
