Strut Your Stuff Day
welcome to strut your stuff day Today we're going to talk about how you can get noticed and how you can tell people about you. But not while you sounded like a narcissist, but like a regular, normal nice person who just happens to know what you are very, very good at. And the reason this is important and matters. It's because people always going to be asking, Why would you get that job? But why would I want to give you this opportunity? So you have to look like you always ready to actually receive the opportunity. But how do you do that? Well, let's get started to talk about that. Allowed that. So number one you want to get? I noticed. And in getting noticed, the first item on our list is showcase your super skill. Now, a super skill will create these kinds of opportunities that are based upon what you're naturally good at, because if you know what comes easy to you and you can tell everybody else what that is, then when that opportunity comes and you have demonstrated that you have th...
ese abilities, other people will create these opportunities or when they come up and say, Hey, wouldn't it be something you are interested in? Or the hot jobs or the opportunities that are sometimes given and companies for high potentials? That's how you demonstrate that you are a high potential. Now you need to seek and pursue these opportunities actively. So there is, as I've said before, no sitting around, no waiting for these opportunities to come. But what you have to do is you have to spread the word all throughout the organization to everybody wants to hear. I am ready for this, and I want to show people what I have toe offer today, and I I am willing to do this. And that means you have to be available for these opportunities. Means you can, you know, make sure that your home at five o'clock exactly, but that you may have to stick around for some of these opportunities that come up when it's not the regular day at work. If you have had difficulties to express why you are the right one for the job, then perhaps you don't know what your super skill is. Pleased to check out my other workshop at creative life, discover your super skills because I'll take you through step by step and how to figure this out. And today I'm going to do something really daunting. I'm going to push you entirely out of your comfort zone and whatever gonna ask you to do today, you are going to talk to your boss. And it is kind of like a fact finding a new opportunity, finding conversation where you just go in and say, Hey, listen, I want to grow. I want these opportunities. What do I need to do? What do you have available? Can you meant to me? Can you give me some pointers? How can I get to that next level in the organisation? What do I have to demonstrate that I'm capable of doing? That's what you're going to be doing today. I know it is a pretty scary thing to talk to your boss, but when you're prepared and write this out, it is going to be a piece of cake. Someone going to give you this quick little quote. The best work is not what it's most difficult for you. It is what you do best. That means I'm not asking you to make up a whole bunch of fake stuff. Well, you pretend you're somebody that you're not, But what I'm asking you to do today is to actually communicate clearly and precisely what it is that you're willing to do, what it is that you naturally can dio and then ask for the opportunity to demonstrate that. So here's what's happening now. So I want you to go to the workbook on day number four to page number seven, and I want you to fill out sort of few game plan. What are you going to be talking about? And then you are going to be setting up that meeting with your boss and when you've done that, come back to the next lesson to thank you so much. And I know this one's a tough one, but I know you can do it. See you again very shortly.
