Students' 30 Second Speeches

Now when I asked bill how he wanted to enter how he wanted me to introduce him what his bio was really the most important elements that sum up mr bill hooked her up uh he gave me a very very succinct phrase to use so ladies and gentlemen his name is bill wait take your left arm and point up everybody online I want you do the same thing oh come on bill phil psyllium at home um online why am I doing this the goal is not to make you feel silly if you feel silly that's just a bonus for the universe I look up like you're looking at the top of a mountain that's you you're a rock star presenter you could be anywhere any time for any group in a while an audience that's you now take your right hand and put where you start it when we're a little we couldn't talk now move your right hand to where you are now how how far up the mountain are you two becoming incredible rock star presenter anytime anywhere by online too kind of back and forth wavering a little bit where you put your hands down to ge...

t to the top of the mountain how do you get to the top of the mountain there's no escalator the only way to climb is to stumble to reach to stretch to feel out of breath we could make a leisure we'll give you steps we'll give you hand rails will give you cool people to journey with wilby each other sherpa, we have to have this mindset of climbing so online folks, I have a very important task for you and as rust talked about you're going to grab something to record yourself with it could be a tablet could be a phone it could be uh ipad it could be anything the full hollywood crew whatever you have nearby so we'll start with richard go reverse or it's gonna be your baseline I mean have you come up just do a quick thirty seconds I'm gonna give you all the same topic and one time we gonna come up and just start talking on the topic I'm gonna be your timekeeper and here's the signals were going to use for three days when I go like this everybody go like this band line go like this is this means ten cycles left doesn't mean shut up it just means start to look for an airport okay? This means ok wrap it up everybody do this, wrap it up that means finish your next sentence or two and then this means we're going to commercial I got to get off so after thirty seconds I'll give you this and then this and then this if you're not done and here's your topic any cause or social issue that you think is important the world you know, here's something that really bothers me here's something it's really a big issue in the world. I think we should all be doing a lot more about this is your miss universe moment just gonna come up thirty seconds. Doesn't matter what it is and just talk on that topic. We should all make a difference. Mohr on this issue big, small doesn't matter whatever something personal freedom. I understand the task, so we'll start with richard and gary will reverse order and I'll give you the time signals in the pack. Richard, you want to start us out? Um, my concern is with health care and how we can better have physicians take care of patients. Um and I see we're in a time right now where physicians and hospitals are in control and I see it's moving to a time where patients are in control. And how how do we transition to that? How do physicians howto hospitals better take care of patients? How do we listen to them? How do we get them to the data that they need to make decisions? Um, it's uncomfortable just like speaking is uncomfortable. Um and, uh, I want to help physicians and I want to help hospitals make that transition excellent carry lorena, come on over here, you could be next uh so the issue that I want to talk about his obesity I think it's a very important issue right now that the united states is facing I think this issue will be more global as the world becomes more globalized right now you know people are not eating correctly they are you know, the way food is produced and the way food is packaged makes it so that it's very hard for people to eat healthy and t to keep from being obese and you know, I think this is a very important issue that we have to figure out and how as a society how do we teach people the right skills to stay healthy? Thanks carrie blowing up jack on deck hi good morning. I believe everybody believes in something saving the animals maybe taking care of kids who don't have a home but I think at the end the most important thing is humanity who we are all these problems I believe come from inside from who we are and what we do to help everybody give a hand to give a smile smile is always could it wins happiness always the good for someone else we will have those problems so I really that's something which will work on on our self from the inside out we get love will receive love on everything will be so good thank you thanks lori shannon so we've had some discussion here about, say, healthcare and obesity on what we can do about it, and I looked at the world, and I say there's a lack, particularly in united states of this concept, of taking care of oneself and self responsibility on what I'd like to see is people taking doing their own thing and having the rest of society step out of the way, having the government step out of the way, so that we can all live our own lives the way we choose on deck, so mind kind of touch is a little bit on what it's the other people have talked about, which is about autism. Um, I think autism has become extremely president in our society, and yet a lot of people still don't understand it, theirs a huge spectrum where tons of people have different people fall on, and it affects everyone a little differently. And I think exposure to it, whether it's in the media or in our everyday lives, is really important because it helps us understand those around us on did also can help us interact with those that, like laurie, was saying that we need to be able to love people who are different than asked, no matter what scenario there in and how they're going to relate to each other and and how. Dearly to themselves and how they understand themselves as well. And so I think it's really important that we not only, you know, go the extra distance to find out why somebody thinks the way they think and understand how they feel british my shoes, choices, education. I believe that if we make twelve years of formal education and universal right, we will solve many of the world's problems. Twelve years of education will train adults to choose the right leaders for themselves and also trained people to build infrastructure which will ultimately raise the standards off living all across the world. Thank you. Great. Thank you, tesh. Jennifer one issue that I'm really passionate about is how everybody can live. Mohr fulfilled and happier lives and the converse of that is how to remove stress from every day life. I think that they're four main ways people can do this one is by just living healthier lives physically getting exercise, you know, eating right mentally, being exercising your creativity on an everyday basis spiritually doing meditation, doing whatever it is I can do. I got you out of the stress mode and into kind of a more peaceful state of mind and emotionally, um incorporating gratitude in everyday life and incorporating gratitude for oneself and for others thank you jennifer gina, bring us home, baby, bring us home hi everyone, my name is gina, and the social issue I'm really passionate about is also education. Samos rakesh I believe education, especially in global poverty and third world countries, is really important because it's an incredibly valuable resource to help you move forward not only to help yourself people around you, but it affects everyone else. And most importantly, I think education in first world countries to help better help third world countries is even the most important type of education, because that's how we can really make a difference. Thank you. All right, so you passed your first test. How'd that feel right? Lying what you do the same thing if you haven't already, and once you do, you're thirty seconds and say, ok, my social issue on your record yourself to your own thing. Every time we record, we're going to play it back a bit later than always delete the evidence. This is a safe space, everything's about safe, positive and growing.

This is the best online training program I've ever purchased! At such a low price, you get a 3 day training from a master teacher in his field. I find Bill's sessions to be lively, engaging, and lots of fun. I've learned enough from just Day 1 to lessen some of my fear of public speaking and agreed to a new speaking engagement. I highly recommend this program, and will look into Creativelive trainings in the future. Thank you so much!
