Engage With Your Community Members And Be Active
So the number one rule for any community manager or community leader is that you cannot take a back seat when it comes to engagement. You don't want to just observe your community conversation, you want to be active and you want to be part of it. Remember, you're the leader of your community, engaging with your community and being an example is fundamental. And so when it comes to engagement, it's not just about posting content, but it's also about commenting on existing post and contributing to discussions that are already happening within your community within post from community members. So these are some actions that you can take in order to take part of the conversation, reply to questions whenever someone asks something, be the first one to reply, especially at first as your community grows more, people will start answering post, but just make sure that you reply to them as well drop encouraging comments, you know, people are going to be posting things all the time. ake sure that you encourage that welcome new members, we're going to talk about that in other lessons, but you always want to be welcoming people at least once a week prompt, open ended questions on your own. We have a whole lesson on this because I think this is one of the best ways to build and start conversations moderate conflict and don't be passive. We're going to be talking about rules, but you definitely want to be part of those conversations. You don't want to let things escalate. So by being part of these conversations, you're setting an example for others and increasing the engagement of your community. Remember again, you are the leader of your community, take some time each day or at least twice a week to engage and be part of those important conversations that are happening to build a thriving and engaging community.
