How low creative live we are so excited to be back it's been an incredible journey not just the trip that we went on epic america will show some pictures of that in a second but just also hearing from everybody who's been participating and engaging, earning lots of miles and points and planning their own dream trips along the way because that's what it really is all about the course is called make your dream trip a reality and our whole goal from start to now and even going beyond is to take you from wherever you are to the destination of your dreams right? And so we've had this whole concept of a dream trip and in the beginning we also set some goals ourselves all of the students who were with us set goals many people watching online on one of the goals that I had was to travel on emirates a three eighty in first class which is normally a very expensive flight if you're just going to pay for it but of course I don't want to pay for twenty five thousand twenty five thousand dollars I d...

idn't have a spare twenty five thousand dollars but we use our miles and we talked all about how he did that throughout the course we use our miles and we're actually able to do that as the course was going out which was super fun I was really excited about the onboard shower the shower suite on the emirates eight, three, eighty so you can see here I don't know if we'd actually showered when we were checking in for our flight, and we've got a shower coming up on, but we got to board the cabin and just kind of settling in. This is the first class kind of exclusive cabin. Somehow we snuck in, you know, with our miles this is stephanie and her sweet, so you can see how much space there actually is, right? So she's just lounging their doors close? Yeah, exactly. Little private, private space. Got to go visit the onboard bar. Check out chris in his emirates pajamas there. Yeah, had changed into my pajamas. That playing since it was along, you know, fourteen and a half hour flight. We actually had two flights, but we'll we'll come to that. And then of course, you know, for me, the high point of the whole experience was the onboard shower, so I got to go and take a five minute shower at forty thousand feet, which is pretty cool. I thought so eventually that flight actually took us somewhere. It wasn't just flying around in circles, although it felt like it for a while, which was great, but eventually we made it to dubai. The first stop of of our global tour to meet course viewers and readers and hear what they've been doing. So I think stephanie will tell us a little bit about that in a second, but maybe first what's going on online, we have kim corn, a cello well currently in los angeles. She was in our studio audience for the boot camp as well. And yea, she's on a trip way have the, uh, who lives in singapore for a success story. Three of the four credit cards I applied for arrived yesterday, though I still haven't figured out how I can get my rent on them. That's actually a topic that we talked about in the facebook group on we have alison, we have folks that are joining us, some to go back to the chat room. Palo alto, texas, miami, florida, scotland and they keep coming in s o keep joining us, colorado cool, thanks goes that's awesome! I've been really impressed every day I've been in the facebook group, I've been really impressed with how many people are in there and the conversations that have been happening and where everyone is joining from I know there was even conversations this morning like exactly how many hours is it until the live check and start it's because I don't want to miss it I think one guy said I'm sitting three alarms for tomorrow because I don't want to miss the live q and a so I hope he's got question I hope you made it here so anyway so the first stop on our on our dream trip was in dubai and during week for we talked about hotels and our whole concept of pay here stay here and play here and we tried we tried looking at you know if we could stay at that really fancy hotel with the infinity pool on the roof the ship in the sky and it was really kind of expensive so we wait that was singapore way still went up a really tall get been all around the world a little bit jet like I actually just got home a couple days ago um in dubai we went to that to the marines virgil virgil airhead sorry job lost my mind to the birdal arab and we had t that t that we told you about they're at the top of the bridge all arab and we took a picture of us watching the course there and then from dubai we went on to singapore where we did go also play at the marina bay sands that's right? But one of the most important things we did in singapore was we met a whole group of people who are watching this course here's a picture of us with leonard and june and away and we had a really great time talking to them and I was really impressed by the number of miles that they were able to find an urn in singapore I know some of the country's aren't as easy to get miles as the u s but I've really been impressed with the people who I've been talking tio about how they've found different opportunities to earn miles where they are I think leonard had found one hundred thousand bake miles that transferred to all different kind of airlines that he didn't even know about before so from there we went on to london where we met you guys for the the mid course check in yet and then I think chris came back to america and I went on and travel to spain and italy and I have got to meet up with another another viewer arial in milan and I really liked her story I'd met her first in the facebook group and she swiss living in in italy and she has a canadian boyfriend that she met in thailand and I loved it because in the beginning of the course she said though there's not really a whole lot of ways I can earn miles and italy to have any tip and when I met her in milan she had this great story about how she had been looking for credit cards in italy and in switzerland had figured out how she could get some in canada and was also thinking about how she could earn miles when she moves to asia so I've just been really impressed by the number of people in this course who have actually figured out how they can make it work for themselves where they are and I think that's one of the really key points absolutely and I think maybe also we were seeing photos and hearing from people who are posting up about where they were watching the course from so I think you've got this picture actually in the facebook group from someone in a lounge I believe in like cuomo or something when they come I was actually in this lounge myself last week I miss list by a few days but liz actually posted yesterday she is on her dream trip today lake como italy she got a free flight and three free nights in the sheraton hotel and she posted this picture watching lesson twenty eight from the lounge at the shared in in light koe mo thought that was pretty awesome and then we've been getting these fun notes from people we mentioned him earlier from seattle just of how people have been able to apply the lessons from the course so just read this one quickly kim was saying, you know, only a week ago, before she started the course, I thought I was going to have to have a big garage sale, maybe even sell my subaru to go to mongolia, her dream destination. But now the travel hacking world has been opened up to me. I'm forever changed another story from the reader that we met in singapore talked about how she's, just learning about new opportunities to explore more and further, we really loved this part about how her brother is currently in germany and ask her to visit him, and at first she was thinking all their ticket is too expensive. I can't do it, but then I had a second thought, you know, I can figure out how much it costs in miles and earn my flight there, it's, realistic and doable, and then this was another great story. I think that you had from someone from victoria in australia, and she said she actually started travel hacking a little while ago, reading some of chris's stuff, and from her first travel hacking experiences, she figured out how to use her quanis points to fly first class on british airways from singapore to london last year. Then she got the book I wrote this year, upgrade on law, and she used those strategies, and she got a one way ticket on qantas business for her and her husband to fly from sydney to los angeles, and then she watched this course and she was using the strategies from this course to figure out how to book the ticket back from from the us to sydney and actually, she posted just this morning we didn't have time to update alive, but just this morning she posted that her miles got credited and she got a business class play on the qantas a three eighty from dallas to sydney return with the miles she got from the course that's pretty awesome, no shower on that one, but still pretty cool, and then we saw lots of funny comments as well, we love barbara and the group saying I seriously can't wait to shop online for christmas. I'm thinking of requesting my family's wish list now, which if you're watching this live is quite early for christmas, but she's talking about learning all the miles and points s so that she can trouble somewhere really fun to see all the different ways that people have been getting miles and points yes, and how successful they have. Speaking of success, we've asked people who've been participating in the course to share how many miles and points that they've learned thus far we've got tons of responses and we kind of extrapolated a little bit based on that yeah, you do the math some fancy math cocktail on, but as best as we can tell in the six weeks we'd been producing this course, you guys creative live viewers have earned fifty four million one hundred fifty two thousand three hundred fifteen miles and points, which is pretty good. I think our course producer brian's probably about half of that, but everybody else has done pretty well too. And, you know, some people have earned hundreds of thousands. Some people have just turned a little bit, but you know, it there's all kinds of different ways to do it, so we were happy to see that we did samora rough math we figured out that that was enough miles to go to the moon twenty three times, right? One way one way, maybe eleven, eleven, eleven round trips to the moon there's one guy who has to stay on the moon so someone earns enough miles to get him back so we thought that was pretty cool. I think we can do that. I think as a group wouldn't get somebody back from the okay, you go get that guy back from the moon. Awesome. So we were happy to share their stories with you there's so many more successes that we've been seeing online and it's great, I hope that you have a success as well, but to help you know, help you get on that way we would love to kind of hear from people and say okay, how has it been going? What can we do to help? I think we have a, uh, special guest who's going to be joining us now take a seat wrong with me, chris and stuck a lot to your company hopefully their souls come be sick act relaxed they lie flat it's not pirates but it's not quite make it, but you have a shower somewhere of anyhow we would like tio welcome back to create a live via skype matt dillon, who was in our studio audience here for the boot camp itself. So, matt, how you doing? Great to see you. He hears you like good to see fantastic well for starters and handed over to youtube but tell us what you have been up to in the past six weeks. It's been it's been a gong show it's been pretty good I've just been accumulating miles planning trips just trying to see exactly how I could do it mixing like points and even just like cheap if there and doing the math on a bunch of different options. But yeah, I've managed to book three or four different trips together some myself and some with my girlfriend so it's been a crazy month and I've learned so much in the facebook who's been really, really cool just to share and like bounce ideas and it's been it's been a crazy month to be honest, awesome that's great good to see you again, matt to maybe tell the audience for people who are just kind of catching up when we when we started with you, I believe you're australian originally and now living in canada tell us a little bit about the travel experience or what you want what you knew about miles employments when you first came into the course okay, I think I was super skeptical like I was always like as soon as you hear like credit cards, I'm like, oh yeah, whatever like it's it's a no go zone, you know? And so tio have the opportunity to, like, really get build that trust like I recommend anyone he's skeptical coming back to me and I'll like explain to you like it's a big thing for me was trying to figure out just how it's going to affect my credit score and so noticing that being able to track that and that it's a very, very little I came in skeptical started to build a bit of trust like, obviously with you guys that helps, but I'm getting that, and then so now I have I booked ninety thousand I applied for four credit cards um I've booked a trip across the country for me and my girlfriend to go to a wedding and that's two hundred dollars for a two thousand dollar value ticket. The ticket tio my girlfriend's dream trip to hide ago I, which is in the canadian north coast on dh, then found a fair sale from sydney to honolulu fell. I got the ticket on virgin velocity points from the sunshine coast to sydney, where I live and I got alaska points from honolulu back to canada and then I'm just got enough hero plan points through mx teo to get myself to sydney so with a different combination of cheap fares in two or three different reward programs I've managed get myself a buddy's wedding in australia, which is like it's more valuable to me than anything that's really awesome. How many points do you would you say that you've gotten since you started the course? Um a boy one hundred it's over two hundred thousand and that's been six weeks and so that's like that's just the honestly like this eggshell like this so much more to it and that's like, but even this like seeing the fact that cheap fares I get alert every day for fares that two hundred dollars across oceans and it's like that alone is incredible, and then the miles is just a whole nother level that's amazing I'm pretty sure matt hasn't slept in the last six weeks because every morning I get on the facebook page and he's had he's written these amazing really long conversations with people and has all these different fair suggestions and it's been really helping a lot a lot of people in canada and australia with um some of their mileage strategies yeah, not great to see you again I have a question for you with regard to way learned a lot about people's travel profiles and I'm wondering if now that you are into it and you're you're doing the thing has your travel what were you when you started? What what do you think you are actually now um I think I was like a wannabe rock star because I used to read all the time about the bears and had a trick it all kinds of stuff, but I didn't know enough and I never took action and now I think action like it if I'm going to suggest anything it's just start doing something now apply for something do something there's people in the facebook group a week ago we were like, I have no idea what I'm doing and now our schooling everybody and it's just about doing something so yeah, I think right now I like losing it adam in mind in terms of like, every day checking stuff and sharing stuff and and learning something so I'd say right now, probably out of control, and then I'm still a bath, a bath, like a back, back, a backpacker. I think I'm still always going to be that kind of did, but that's, nice, too, see the opportunities of some super fancy hotels popping up fantastic. Well, thank you so much. We're having a lot more success stories that are coming in really, really proud of you, and especially that, like, the conversion there, the transformation of not really being, you know, thinking you could do it. Tio probably out there evangelizing and converting other people right? Yeah, I got all my cards here, I think, it's. All right, thank you so much. We will see you in the facebook group.

Highly recommended! This is one of the best CreativeLive courses I've ever taken and a great value. There's a lot of excellent information here, presented in a fun and accessible way. The CL "boot camp" approach was perfect for this topic because it dispenses the material in bite size pieces with very doable action steps along the way. The corresponding Facebook group adds even more value and camaraderie. It's a great place to clear up any questions or confusion that may come up. What an amazing resource! By the end of the course, not only will you have learned a tremendous amount, you will actually have something tangible to show for it!

This is a fabulous course. Stephanie and Chris are both so knowledgeable, helpful, and easy going. They clearly love and practice what they're teaching. And they're open to learning from the students too. The course is packed with information, delivered in an immediately useful way. In fact, they emphasize again and again that the point is to USE the information to REALLY take your "Dream Trip" soon! The Facebook group is the best I've ever experienced with an online course. Stephanie and Chris are remarkably present, responsive, understanding, and generous with their knowledge and experience. I highly recommend this course.
