Flexibility
Let's talk about flexibility and specifically designing your logos for a responsive world. Responsive design is designing for various platforms and media. It's not a one size fits all approach. Common examples of this are large desktop sizes, medium sized tablets, smartphones, and then tiny smartwatches. Remember your logos have to look good in any of those sizes due to the proliferation of digital media. It's important now, more than ever to think responsively and flexibly when designing your logos. You have to think about the proper canvas and the proper use cases and you have to make sure that your logos work at all these different sizes. It's really important. Sometimes the logo was created and then adapted for responsive design. An example of this would be the USA Today logo, the Whitney Museum and the new school.
