I am as I said just in this youtube creator content created class and so these are from that class the ten fundamentals that youtube has actually put out to say these are the ten things that each of the videos must have so your channel whatever you do have to be share a ble so it can't be too specific but it needs to be about something that can be shared with other people interactive so ideally you have in a video a component that says and check out my other videos now in youtube has changed so much that now you can actually at the link at the end of the video or you can add a subscribe now while the video is showing so the tools of interaction and youtube have dramatically increased I mean as I said I hadn't been is active in about a year and I went back and like what happened to this place I mean it's just been an explosion so there's good news and bad news to this the good news is this is so much that can be done the bad news is there's so much that can be done it's going to take yo...
u some time to figure it out because it's no longer just like you know you take a video and you put it up and then somehow magic happens now you have two key word it now you have to optimize it now you have to do the engagement portion off it you have to have all these elements and it's so you have to think through mott much, much, much, much more than you used to um consistent well luckily we've all been through the persona in the brand so we and the angle so we kind of know what consistency means question does it hurt but has it helped the brent so anything that helps the brand will be done anything that hurts the brand we cannot do consistent is consistent is viewpoint is a story line is a theme so consistency is derived from a variety of different elements but most of the time consistently consistency just comes from if you're clear about your voice you will have an opinion about everything and that opinion is you know, the consistency because it is your voice and when we spend this much time and energy and effort in, you know, chiseling out what that you know what that message is at the very bottom that's why we spent this time on it to figure out what that is because then it's being used on instagram following that angle, that message that brandt a persona that you've identified for you and you know and here is the rubber chicken in the youtube video for darryl flying low so whatever whatever sort of we are we're doing with our with our brands sustainable sustainability really imagine you can run out of steam after two videos and then not have anything else to say. So if you thinking ten videos out or twelve or fifteen videos out, what would be the theme of that? So I did, I used to do ah more meant much, much more video blogging on high traffic block when it was first building up my traffic. And so I had all this and the theme was always the business behind the art of photography, and that helps you with the you know what? Because in anything that's relating to the business is relating to what I want to talk about. So if you have that overall theme which we have, we've been working to identify, then it's much easier for you to say ok, well, here it is and that's why we have the workbook because it's in their you've already been working on it and I'm going to mention this now the things a good time to mention now wait until our lead generation day we are making a big reveal where you will go like, well that's how it all goes together, but you have to wait into them, you have to watch it and you have to have the workbook because it will not be possible otherwise all right, discoverable, how do people find you so they talk about discover ability make sure that you got all the key words in it that you have and that's why we were talking about in the blogging about the key words in the metadata because guess what they are your key words so I like to so in my business we went this far as actually determining a terminology on how we call things right because as my secret sauce so because off my german isms when we talk about this we talk about it as a method or a system we talk about it in steps in modules in building blocks so when I was talking to my content producer at creative life very early on and he had come up with a particular language and I said man yeah but that does not how I would talk because my brand I said my brand is about systems the death and we went through it he says god it so that's why the color for this course is red and orange and yellow because this is about attention something is happening and we had a conversation yesterday we had a conversation about colors yes so let me open the curtain and let me take you behind it for a second so blue the ibm blue is the most trusted color in the world what color were wearing today? What color was I wearing yesterday so blue is trustworthy green is spirituality it's connection it's hope right it's comfort greens always good greens like well I can relax now I'm taken care off red says stop yellow gold says pay attention here is power which is why we have the yellow in the authority platform because and the woman in the middle has the yellow because like you need to pay attention here's somebody in power purpose is spirituality is the highest sort of quality color out there it means, you know, connection it means being you know, being sort of in the flow sometimes have probably have to be a little bit careful because sometimes people say that old ladies like to wear purple and there's probably a good reason for it. So be careful with the purple because it could be misconstrued if you do too much of it as sort of the hippie color as you being sort of too far out there so I would always combine the purple with another color just to bring it back to that you know, especially in the business environment to bring it back to that to that a portion of it so that's a cz the colors of going and I don't even know how got to get to the colors eyes went on attention here alright focus okay, so we were talking about the youtube channel uh accessible it has, you know, obviously people have to be able to to get to your channel you have to tell them how to get to your channel we have to do the promotion conversational so in the conversation part of it the there's all kinds of different youtube videos some of them are teachers and then they and they take you through here's what you need to do and then others are going like, well, you know, it's sort of the vlogging part looking straight at the camera it's like, well, and I got up this morning and then I was thinking and here's what's going on with me and it's what's on my mind, sort of more personal connection where I'm like, you know, losing the cameras, sort of my friends like, look, I'm not not knowing what's going on here, but this what I'm sharing with hope you like what I'm sharing in the vehicle wow, that was really profound what he was sharing but sort of more on a personal level, there are people that are now creating serious off off youtube videos that are designed to be seasons so there's an entire a group of people that are putting seasons on on on on youtube and they take actual brakes and then they go back and they have another season if you have ten thousand followers orm or you can now access the youtube facilities because youtube has created state off the art production facilities in in los angeles I think in san francisco and in new york that you have full access to in including editing suites that you can only dream off I mean these are multi million dollar facilities so that's why they're teaching these courses this creative course because they want to help you to get to ten thousand so once you're ten thousand you can use the facilities so you can get even more why because then they can put their advertising and smack it on your videos left and right so people are clicking on it they're making money they're paying you your share and you get paid by your youtube videos which is probably not for us but it's just another way to use youtube and which is a very very heavily supported collaborative they always recommend using other people that are in sync with what you're doing so that way you can say and here is here's darrell his a photographer we were just talking about this yeah I learned the business you know so we were like tossing it back and forth to each other so that works really well because then if you have a channel and I have a channel I get your subscribers to my channel you get my subscribes to your channel so we help each other out so collaborations are very favorable on youtube. And they're really promoting that and inspiring. Of course, you know. Does it make a difference?

Beate Chelette delivered so much value with so much style and grace that it was a "no-brainer" decision on the 2nd day -- I needed to own "Grow Your Business as the Authority In Your Space"! This is material I can really go back to and mine for nuggets over and over -- PLUS, I can't wait to get a closer look at the workbook (and start trying out the exercises of course!). Beate's surprisingly broad expertise coupled with her polish and professionalism made each day's programming a true joy to watch. She is a wonderful role model for all of us nascent women entrepreneurs -- and obviously, men will find her lessons just as empowering. Thank you, CreativeLive and a special thank you to Beate Chelette!

I love this course and dip back into it frequently. I would highly recommend this course to entry-level and mid-career academics, particularly women. More courses please from Beate Chelette! Cheers, Amy
