About Beate
My story is, you know, that I'm really sort of the I think I'm really unruly, sort of the designated black sheep of the family, I don't know by choice or if that sort of just sort of came about so my background, you know, and how, how I really come to all of this and the reason I tell part of these stories and we'll tell, you know, I'll talk about the stories more throughout is I love creation, but creation to me is about, you know, I was ah started out as a photographer, actually. So have a photography degree from the bavarian institute of photo design in munich believe it or not, and then I realized that I wasn't as good as a photographer as I knew other people were and either was lazy and didn't want to do the work or, you know, whatever, but I liked the business side of things to me, the business side is incredibly creative and interesting, so I became a magazine editor it at vina magazine when I was nineteen, just fresh out of photo school, and they had not advertised in the regul...
ar, you know, a classified section. They had run an ad on page eight, unruly as I am, I'm like, oh, wonderful, what is a photo editor even do I had no clue, I mean, I'm nineteen years old, so I applied to the position and they said, well, we're not really looking for anybody like you, is it? But somebody's got to do like the photo stuff this at all. You want to be a photo editor? I'm like, yeah, that s o they hired me as an intern and I did become the photo editor, and then from there on I went over to elle magazine in germany, becoming the youngest photo editor of elle magazine. I think at the time it was like twenty one years old and I ran the photo department working with, like, help with newton jails and ben c'mon, and, you know, some of the biggest names in photography, which was which was sort of great fun. And then after I came, then stuff happened and I came to the united states because I wanted to have an adventure that hasn't stopped until today, and I became a photographer representative then I did hair and makeup representation. Then I started my own company because I was laid off. That was in the bigger sessions in the eighties, and I had to start figure out how to how to make things work, and that was a producer of a photographer representative, and then eventually I fell into stock photography syndication, too do you know tio, take this to the next level? But what is interesting about the story other than you can not say while she's really awesome is is really about how sort of every little thing that I did amounts to help me to where I am today, which is I think, what all of these path that we have going on really amount to is that the being a photographer I know what a photographer is up against because I am one and I didn't event photography in all of that, and I was in the studio being in the magazine in the editorial world I know exactly what it's like to, you know, the deadlines, getting stuff done and having things you know, being produces nothing like working in a magazine man, when that magazine comes every month and somebody puts it on you, I mean, that moment it's indescribable that mean to this day there's no other job I've ever had what I have that kind of feeling and then, you know, in the production part, what goes into the production? We were laughing yesterday when we were having the pre production meeting here because it was wow, wow, well, she knows as it would have been the producers, I know what needs to happen to make things sort of happened and then I went into you know, the stock photography I sold that for millions of dollars to bill gates company corbis who then took me on a cz the senior director of photography for their flagship outline and and everything entertainment which was great but I'm really it hard and entrepreneur and is very difficult for me to work in corporate settings with an entrepreneurial spirit I mean it's usually a question of time and then sort of sucks the life back out of you so that was a challenging and then I decided that I was going to retire for a week my daughter swear it was a day and I you know that's when I started writing my book and working on these things so the why you know because we are talking about the why so the why really is about why are you doing this? So why I do this because it was so hard I'm a single mom and immigrant within ethnical leap a mixed child who have almost lost twice and I am unemployable big mouth, big ideas big personality and I have the stream and I cannot give up for whatever reason I just cannot give up because somebody's doing it and I will find a way to figure it out if they're doing it it must be possible I will find the way that's the mindset I want everybody to have if somebody else is doing it have that mindset figure out how to do it there is no such thing is giving up but it is hard to get there so when I did come out on the other side now my why is I can tell everybody what it was like the truth on how much time energy you really have to put into it and how this sort of all works together because everybody always says here's my way one thing follow that one thing and then happiness will instantly occur. It is not true, it is fifty things that you have to know when to pull in at the right time. That is how you achieve that that's sort of happiness and it's always about being clear of who you are, what you doing and being honest about that and then hopefully attracting the people that are naturally attracted to you. And as we were talking about elevated pitch I know liver psa is in the chat room she says on the ilium yes, and so I put up her elevator pitch and tourists is learning fundraiser and her learning fundraiser. I have to turn around, I can beat it over there learning fundraiser elevates fundraising for educational institution to a whole new level. It is a new, fresh, innovative, fun, interactive confidence building, all inclusive showcase of student accomplishment the teacher's life skills protect management and project manager is protect myself. Supposed a project management, my apologies and job readiness at all ages. So, it's, learning, fundraiser outcome. And when lewis a came, she had this idea ofthe having a different fundraiser for schools. That's actually project management based to teach kids fabulous skills and is a phenomenal, phenomenal products. So go check it out, and she has done a great job. And she's given me this wonderful testimonial.

Beate Chelette delivered so much value with so much style and grace that it was a "no-brainer" decision on the 2nd day -- I needed to own "Grow Your Business as the Authority In Your Space"! This is material I can really go back to and mine for nuggets over and over -- PLUS, I can't wait to get a closer look at the workbook (and start trying out the exercises of course!). Beate's surprisingly broad expertise coupled with her polish and professionalism made each day's programming a true joy to watch. She is a wonderful role model for all of us nascent women entrepreneurs -- and obviously, men will find her lessons just as empowering. Thank you, CreativeLive and a special thank you to Beate Chelette!
