Recap of “How to shoot”
We've done it. We have uh we've gone through an entire wedding and we've uh photographed the entire wedding. We've gone everywhere from um doing portraits to group shots to formals, to detail shots to the ceremony, to the reception. We've done it all now that we've taken all of these photos in the next section, we are going to bring them into our computer and we're going to start editing them and manipulating them, exporting them, uploading them and delivering them to our clients. What did we take away from this? So this was the majority of the course um As far as like photographing a wedding. Now again, we didn't go into a lot of detail of technical uh know how, but a lot of shooting a wedding is actually more about where you are, where you put the people, what gear you bring um and how you use it, you know how to take a photo already, right? You should be going into a wedding, feeling confident about your photography skills and you should be building upon how to be present at a weddi...
ng, how to get creative with the wedding and where to physically be. And more importantly how to interact with the um people that you are photographing. And if you've gone through all the last lessons and you've been paying attention, you're in such a great place. The only thing that you can do better now at this point is to practice, practice, practice, like I said earlier, um with finding your posing and finding uh your inspiration is use your friends, use your family, go out and take photos, practice and practice. Try to start to take yourself um a little bit away from the technical stuff, right? Stop trying to think about too deeply about F stops and shutters obviously, it's important. But if you the further you can get away from that and not have to think about it. Um The closer you can get to being creative and being present with your subjects, thus creating more interesting and fun photographs. So take everything you did re-watch it if you need to go back to it before your next wedding or before your first wedding. If you have a concern or worry, go find a specific lesson that we went through and watch it, take notes and think about it before you go out and uh do your first wedding. The next section is gonna be awesome. Um I think it's very helpful if you're able to have um the video on a laptop or another screen and be able to bring up um your editing photos. So you can kind of follow along or just watch what I'm doing intently. We're gonna do a combination of, um, showing you photos that I've taken and then re editing them and then showing you how I edit them. Um, before we get into delivering. Um, so maybe watch it through once and then go back and edit along with me. Um, it's gonna be the best way of learning. So let's get on to the next big section, editing and post.
