Z Health Vision Training Summary
Remember, I said that big building better vision is a combination of hard work and relaxation, so we're going to go through we go look at some of our summary slides I want I want to remind you what we've done because you've actually collected a huge already toolbox of exercises and drills to improve your vision to also improve your body or the foundation for having better vision so we're looking those summary sides first, then we're gonna talk about different types of results that you're going to create when you do these and they're going to start talking about how to build our programs, okay? And they were gonna actually do it. All right? So this is our basic summary first slide of what you guys have actually experienced so far, so the way that I broke this up is kind of to keep it in line with the keynote that's already come before, so we have assessments we have exercises hear me clearly on this every assessment is also an exercise, and every exercise is also an assessment, so it's ...
kind of silly to some degree to actually separate them out, but the reason that these exist over here the exercises is they're harder to put a number on their harder to quantify, so we have these things over here because I could go hey on the smell in chart, I'm twenty forty versus an ice circle how do you really know that you're doing a great I circle that makes sense that's really kind of the dividing line and this is how I teach a lot of my courses if I can really quantify it, we call it an assessment, but at the end of the day they're all brain training, okay? So let's go through these and just remind ourselves of what they are first and foremost smelling chart uh, and this is important to me because I mentioned this on day one it's very funny because I began doing vision work with people, and I didn't care about how well they could see, I cared about how their eyes were impacting their pain and their movement and that's really cool for most professional athletes, but at some point I realized that most people the general public didn't really care about hey, I contract a ball. What they really cared about was, can I read my book? And so as I began redeveloping the program to help more people, it became really important to go what's your base level visual clarity can when you're standing twenty feet, what can you read on the chart? So for you guys, as we start going through the assessment through these assessments, I mentioned on day one that when we're using this chart, it is absolutely essential if you really want to do this objectively you need to get your tape measure out in measure out twenty feet and then when you do the test you cover one eye and you just read as far as you can and remember it's the last line where you can make out all the letters clearly okay so you don't get it you get to call it twenty twenty if three of those are blurry and you can't make him out all right so you and remember you don't win a prize on these unless you're competing with somebody so you just want to get a good quantification so that's a smelling chart then we have the multi size chart which you guys have been using all day today this one is one of the most convenient assessment tools ever because you can stick that in your notebook you can put it in your desk and in any time of the day not only can it be hey how are my eyes doing but using that blur drew in some of the other drills it can actually be used for exercises um all of these if you're downloading them once you've got the presentation you can stick him on your ipad you can stick him anywhere now if you put it on an electronic device don't cheat and blow it up because I have had people do that they're like hey I can read the one if I if I blow it up to about four hundred so no cheating getting leave it the same size then the third thing we use was the brock string on I mentioned this yesterday that I used the brocks doing a lot for my personal training since you guys were able to you too particular were able to get the ax right away now we start progressing in and that some of the stuff that we went over I believe in segment two today one or two where we get the string and once we have the x and then we start complicating it we start going from beat to beat and we look away would come back to the beat but your base level assessment is can I see an x at the first two beads and a wyatt the distance bead with no ghosting all right that's going to be our base level assessment now in your case our main job right now is to get it to flicker into life right and that's perfectly fine ah lot of our people that go through our certification programs depending on their background when they first come to our our level three courses which is where we get really deeply in division training it's four days of doing this it's amazing how many people professional movement professionals that have a lot of vision difficulties it depends on the sport that they come from but what you're experiencing is really common um and so it's very cool to watch people again get there there one eye back over the course of time so that's our third assessment then we did the hand eye and foot eye charts okay do you remember how we did those that's this chart here with the stars that's the hands and you have a second chart in your in your stack that is a square in the square stands for feet and the first time we went through that we basically stood in front of the chart comfortable distance and then he said right left middle right left middle wherever the star was in relationship to the line and then we tapped right right left both now you actually into your own version which is perfectly fine do right doesn't matter as long as we're doing something midline no one is touching the middle and then we had the foot drills where we were marching march march uh in a caf raise now the goal in that one do you remember how long we timed it one minute one minute ok so these drills are done for one minute and at the end of them I count up and see what my scores uh if you're taking notes at home the thing that you want to remember is that these hand eye charts generally we would we would like to see people between eighty and one hundred in a minute's time ultimately, if you want to be more athletic than you want to go higher than that um and ultimately we'd also like to see that same score with the feet although most people when they first started the foot one around forty or fifty because and steams coming out their ears as they're trying to remember which foot of which all right so that's going to be hand eye foot I then we have our convergence divergence chart which is you help me remember so when you're doing the feet yes and and your signifying that it's on the line do you raise your heels? How'd you do that? Yeah okay, you got it. Just raise the heels. All right? Okay then after that, like I said, we have the convergence divergence chart which is this red green circle thing here now yesterday when we were practicing with that chart we talked about how to converge in diverge I'm actually taking guys through that again today not as an assessment but as a skill building drill all right? Because that one is probably one of the more difficult ones for people to understand how to perform it. But how would I score this it's pretty simple, right? Can I actually make these converging diverge and each time I said this is like adding a weight plate because the wider they are, the harder they are to bring together so that's an easy thing to quantify. I could do the bottom two and then four weeks later I can do for you and then five weeks later I could do more so that when actually it's fairly easy to quantify. And then our final assessment yesterday was the near far. You guys remember that one? It was it was hard, right? So for that you guys have these in your stack you have one chart that goes up on the wall it's full of letters and then you have another chart it's about that size, right? And if you remember, we walked this far back as we could and still see that chart clearly took a big step forward. And then we held the little chart up and we went one letter here. One letter there just back and forth with our eyes. Uh, you did that force yesterday, tried you tried to force yesterday, and that one is it said, is probably one of the most difficult. Personally, I think it's one of most difficult of the assessments, but it's also a fantastic drill. Um in general, what we would like to see our people hitting somewhere in the seventy to ninety per minute or more what we typically see forty to fifty in the beginning, but this one's awesome because it's easy to quantify right how fast can I go and I just do it on the minutes uh uh do it with a minute timer set okay, so those are basic assessments together pretty good remembering all of those and big little you just go back and forth in sequence from little debate little debate right? But following the the sequence top row first next rose okay, now if you get bored with that you can also change your directions. Okay, so if I have people that I'm working with same chart they will begin to memorize right? And if they're beginning to memorize what I'll see because I watch their eyes they'll look at the big chart and the look back here and they'll say like six letters and the look so I want to see your eyes moving with every letter s o I often will go okay, so this time we're gonna read down the columns this time we're gonna read in a box so there's so many different ways that you can use it so that you don't actually develop it uh skill from just from memory okay, okay. All right, so those are basic assessments now what I like to do is you guys are gonna do these now before we get into any of the other exercises we're going to start practicing them, you're going to pull out a sheet of paper, we're gonna actually score you all right, this is going to take a little while. So I'll be answering some questions as we go through and guiding guys through it.

This class gave me hope. It turns out we're not doomed to a stronger and stronger prescription every year. For the first time I feel empowered, knowing that I actually CAN do something about my eyesight. And it's because there's not just the eye lens and shape of the eye, but also muscles that can be strengthened and a brain that can be trained. I'm already seeing better and will continue the exercises. Loved the course. Very charismatic instructor. Lighthearted atmosphere. So helpful to see participants with different types of vision challenges doing the exercises on camera and being coached by the instructor. Incredible value here — don't hesitate to sign up for this!

This course is remarkable. I bought it with the hopes of improving my vision to get rid of my readers and eye fatigue and it has done more than that! I started this in September 2019 with 20/40 vision, and now, about six months later I am at 20/20! My goal is now 20/10. I do the Brock string daily, as well as keep the convergence/divergence charts at my office and start/end my day with them. The routines are simple enough for me to do 5 mins at a time, and the results are outstanding. I'll ALWAYS exercise my eyes from this point forward in life. So grateful for this course!
