if you had done what I tend to do, which is when I download. I have multiple sessions in one folder, so we look at some of the other folders that I have on my hard drive. Let's see, this one's a little bigger. What do I have in here? Oh, of course. These air so tight, either. Actually, they're actually pretty. Well, they're pretty well organized by date. But it may be that I have, you know, pictures of they in one folder along with pictures from a trip, maybe some pictures of a craft project that I did or something so I might want another way to organize them. That goes beyond just the folders that are on my hard drive. And that solution that you'd be looking for is called collections. So collections think of collections as virtual folders. So it's a good idea on your hard drive to download into the date folders. You want to put the four digit year first, followed by the two digit month and the two digit two digit day so I can have a mess in there all in that one folder. But now I migh...

t want to split it out, and I might want to take the vacation photos and separate them from pictures of my son or pictures of a craft project. That's what you use collections for and their virtual. So they're not taking up more space on your hard drive. They're not duplicating any files. It's really pretty straight forward. The way collections work is you can make collection sets. So, for example, here I have a collection set called Family Photos. And if I twirl down this little arrow here, I see that I have pictures in here of, um, my son at six months, I also have pictures in here off a family shoot photo shoot we did in the snow. So it looks like this or these pictures of him in a hoody here. So I've made these two little collections, so they're groupings, and they are within the larger set called family photos. So you can structure this however you want. You could just have the collections themselves and not put them in higher level sets. It's totally up to you, so let's see. We can call this. We could call this they we could put it in a subset here with A We could put it in a travel set since we're in Seattle. So maybe maybe we'll do that. Let's make them a Seattle set. So I'm gonna go back to my grid view. I'm gonna press G to get my great view. And I went back to this folder so I can see everything that's here. And I'm going to select all those images and then will come down to collections, and I'm going to make a new collection. So I'll click the plus and I'm going to create a collection, not a collection set, But in this case, I'll make a collection and I'm gonna call this Seattle Seattle playground and I'm gonna put this set in this collection inside a set and I'll put it in this travel set. So here, I'm gonna turn on this check mark, include inside a collection set. And now I'll choose the travel collection set and I want to tell it to include the selected photos so I'll go ahead and hit, create. And now we see Seattle Playground is a new collection within my travel collection. So you can think of these also like albums. So I have an album of all my travel photos, and then within that album, I have these little sub albums. So right now the Seattle playground photos are here. If I wanted to, I could create another collection here for they and I could drag those images there. They can exist in multiple collections in one place, but I'm going to go ahead and just leave these in the Seattle playground collection inside my travel folder. So I have travel images from Morocco here in one different collection and another set of travel images that we just made here in the Seattle playground.
