Power Of Authenticity

Number seven authenticity queues. So we pick up on authenticity very quickly as human beings. There's a couple things that we look for. These are really little things that they really make a difference to ri. This actually comes from eric Kennedy who is a designer and he is extremely accurate and how he knows the brain looks at real or fake objects you'll notice and I didn't notice sexually until I read about it from ERIC that on really, really good designs on websites, objects will have shadows in the right places. Buttons have shadows just like normal objects in real life. So you'll notice that. Look at these different pictures where you'll see the shadows are in the right places, the flights coming from above. Sometimes if you're looking at photos or buttons or poorly designed websites, we can't quite figure out what it is about them That's bothering us. It's because the shadows are in the wrong place. So light always comes from the sky. Little thing for those of you have personal w...

ebsites or personal brands. Same with business cards. If you have objects in your business cards. Another authenticity Q. Recognisable logos and badges. So anytime you have a recognizable logo or badge that instantly says someone ah they have proof. And then of course social proof. So this is from Derek Halpern's website. He very cleverly has two different social, three different four different Whoa, Derek four different social proof things. Can you find them all give you a second. So if you can spot all four. So social proof is how we gauge of other people like this person and that for us as an authenticity Q. So here he says Uh top marketing psychology blog with more than 100,000 readers per month mentioned number one of social proof. 100,000 readers follow at Derek Halpern 57.1 K. Followers on twitter. Second social proof, get the full free toolkit, join over 100, people. There it is again from 182 countries for four social proof things. In fact, this is not almost, I think every single page of his website, there's probably what, 50 words here and I would say you know 1/4 of them or a third of them are all social proof things. That's how important social proof is when we're engaging authenticity. Um cool question from Amiga. So she says, omega friend, my friend, she says I don't have a website yet and I'm wondering how important it is to have a dot com address versus a dot guru address or something along those lines. So that's interesting. Um right now unfortunately people definitely see more authenticity in the dot com just because it is more established, we know that you probably paid more for it dot guru. Even even dot net dot info, they tend to bring up a few more questions now. I have not seen for more research on that. But whenever I do qualitative research, even my own personal experience, I do think there is a slight, it's almost like it takes a couple of points off. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but not having that dot com email address and web address. And I'm happy to hear your comments on this if you guys want to comment below the video to see if you think that this is true. I do think that it's still, if you really want to be respected, the best authentic addresses. Dot com doesn't have to be that way, but I do think that it helps so eliminate grammar errors, spelling errors. Another way that we lose authenticity is grammar and spelling errors. I know it's hard, but that is definitely something that instantly takes away from our credibility lies. Anytime you're exaggerating or lying your website, that decreases your authenticity, add media logos, social proof and certifications and, of course, light from the sky if you have any floating objects.
