Class Introduction
How do we design moments in our life to slow, stop, and reverse the perceived acceleration of time and live summers longer than when we were kids? So, if I'm successful by the end of today, I'm gonna give you the gift of time. But first let's jump into resiliency, this topic. This is kind of becoming a buzz word. So I'm gonna call this resiliency 2.0 because I'm gonna use some relatively new neuroscience to talk about how we can develop greater resiliency. But first, I have some bad news for you. It's never going to be this slow again. Today is the slowest day of the rest of your life. If you're operating in this misconstrued conception that tomorrow or the next day or the next week you're going to get your arms around the speed of things and use technology to slow stuff down and get ahead of stuff, no technology actually is going to continue to make it worse. The pace will only accelerate. There is no trend known to man that suggests that suddenly it's going to slow or stop. So accept...
ing that it's only going to get faster means we need to potentially design a new approach about how we handle all of these stressors in our life.
