Business Recipe Recap

we are at that point where I think that the amount of information has begun to hit ah tipping point if you will you know I mean here we are we spent two days create a framework of what content marketing looks like especially for a professional photographer it's such a perfect perfect a thing for a photographer a professional photographer to use in their business content marketing is perfect for photographers because you guys go out and create content for a living that's exactly what you do every time you go photograph on event a person whenever you're out there photographing you are creating content that's why this newer method of marketing this content marking the idea of loving on your customer with not only your images but your expertise on solving their problems for them this idea of how to market your business and and thus grow your business is perfectly aligned for professional photographers and so we spent a couple of days now building not only talking about why it's perfect and...

what the concepts are but then getting down to brass tacks and actually focusing on what we need to do all the individual things we need to dio and now here we are and we need to come up with a system to make sure that you guys could actually do it there's absolutely no value in learning all the different things you have to do to grow and mark your business but not having any time or any ability to put them into practice we all go toe maybe some conferences every year we are going to be a trade show me we gonna workshop and I know that feeling you come backing of pages and pages of notes and there's so many things that you want to do with your business and yet you already have yu has been here for a couple days you already have all those e mails still sitting back at home waiting for you to attend to them you have all those projects and your customers didn't wait for you while you were sitting here learning they need your attention as well and it's already starting to feel like you have so much to dio and you have so many things you want to do from what you've learned here and yet so much do when you go back and start attending to your business and kind of screaming baby in the room taking care of the problems or just the deadline's coming up today is about coming up with a system to make sure that you can handle all that and that's I think the most important way to look at today and the framework for today is the system that we want to put in place because the system doesn't just give you a bunch of deadlines of how to do something when to do it what to do with it that's not what we're trying to accomplish you're not just trying to create a big long to do list for you you don't want to walk away today with just a much longer to do list a good system allows you to optimize what you're doing when you're doing it and how you're doing it it allows you to set up short cuts it allows you to duplicate tasks to do different things together toe actually circumvent some tests to prioritize what you want to be doing toe let go some things you shouldn't be doing it gives you that oversight and the insight actually do the things you need to be doing to grow your business and to be profitable versus just doing everything so that's the difference you guys have a lot of information now about how to market your business and at a greater business what you could do is walk away and just try to start doing everything that you've learned along with all the things you've already been doing what we really want to have you walk away with today is a system that doesn't actually add that much extra work tear workflow but lets you focus on the things that matter the most take advantage of systems take advantage of software take advantage of other services take advantage of specialist take advantage of things so you can maximize what you're doing let's talk about what we've learned so far where we're going today let's make sure that we just do a quick review because it's important to know what we're looking at today before we get going this is what we're trying to focus on we really want to build an authentic brand message because remember if we're trying to be all things to all people we're not going to be attractive to anyone and we make this mistake sometimes his business owners where we get focused on trying to attract everyone will want to say no to anyone business is hard to come by why would I ever say no to anything and the reason that you want to think about saying no is not because of no but because of what you're saying yes to there the more you specialize the more you focus on your authentic brand message the more you learn your target audience and the more you khun define them the more you create a persona around them the more you khun speak directly to the unique things about them the better you're going to be attracting them the better you're gonna be at getting people to raise their hand and say I want in I want to be a part of what you're doing now they don't want to be part of what you're doing but I'm willing to pay you whatever I need to to make sure that I'm a part of what you're doing and so it creates a message that is so compelling and so true authentic to who you are that you get to work with people you love and you get to work with people that value what it is you do and so you base your message in your business on more than just the images you take but actually on the unique things that you bring to the table and the unique things about your target market in target audience that makes him special so we spent the whole day talking about that and then we talked about using content to deliver that message again content is so perfect for photographers because we're producing it but there's a strategy behind how to deliver content you can't just start putting content out there for contents sake we've all been victim of just blogging just for the sake of blogging and we don't want to contribute to all the noise we all get it in our inboxes every single day too much email that isn't actually directed at us it doesn't actually matter for us there's so many things we need to do when it comes to our website are blogging using social media like facebook instagram pinterest creating guides to solve problems using email to stay in touch with past clients we continue that love effect that's what we talked about yesterday today is all about carrying that system today is all about making sure that we take all the things we've learned and we put it into a system and so we're gonna focus on making sure that we're built to shoot and to market and everything else is covered by other system or a specialist because in today's environment in today's business world things are different than they were five ten twenty years ago they're very different the on ly way to survive to grow to excel and succeed in a small personal service industry like we're in is to focus on the things that only you can do and the things that produce profit we cannot get everything done in a day everything that would be required way all know that we experience it all the time we're the ceo which means the chief everything officer right we get everyone a janitor where the technician were dev were technical support where the were the guru for our website where the photography expert we're required to do because just list on and on on and so what we have to do is create a business and a system for our business and a system for our marketing that allows us to lean and not have to do every single thing so let's go and get into it before we get into it I wanted to share this got a lot of you've been asking me off line about what I'd mention this in the first day this is another guide that she doesn't put together and a lot of you were asking about cause I hadn't spent any time talking about so if you want it download this is the other free guide other free guy that she thought it has to offer it's the how to grow your wedding photography business guide and so it's got a lot of same tips and tricks that we've been talking about fleshed out more you could get that at shoot that dot com slash grogan it's a it's a free download so I hadn't mentioned it I thought I'd at least put it up for those of you who are asking about it

Love love love creative live! I have since passed on this fantastic learning environment to my friends! At this stage it's true I'm not a big purchaser not income flush just yet! But want to give feed back on 'content marketing for photographers and the presenter! Actually he's ok good sound information, clearly knows his stuff however my friends and I ditched it because this phrase 'loved on' which he seems to use A LOT! is very creepy, in fact it pretty much grabs our attention so much we keep missing what he's saying, the other one ' lean in' these seem so juvenile teenager like and especially the loved on.... Seriously sounds like a crude sex act! Put us off from buying the content! Shame because we need his help.

Wow - such a great class! I have heard Jared speak before (mostly on pricing), and I have to say, he really knows his Marketing! Absolutely loved the structure of the 3 days, and after each segment, I felt like I had so many actionable items to take and apply to my business. From social media tactics to solving clients' problems through guides to proper blogging strategies, there are so many new ways that I have learned to use content marketing to strengthen my business this year. Jared also found a way to take topics that are not as interesting, such as creating effective emails, and make it engaging for the entire segment! Such a talented speaker. Personally, I think it's great that Jared has small catch phrases such as "lean in" and "love on clients" - it makes him unique! Not only that, but his strategies WORK, so he can phrase ideas as he wants! :) This is definitely a course worth watching, regardless if you have been shooting for years or are just starting out!

Since watching this course I have told not only my photographer friends about it, but many of my other friends who run their own businesses/organizations. This course can transfer to anyone who wants to learn from the best in marketing. All of the presenters were amazing and this course was WELL worth the money and then some. Thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge you have gained in your very successful business to help all of us succeed in ours!
