General Q&A
and so pro photographer wanted to know what is the average number of outfit changes per shoot or does it matter for whoever you're working with us and especially related to silhouette I would say much like new born to two three or three to four okay and then from earlier today does the same go when you have the husband there do you ask him do you create his wardrobe look as well maybe two or three looks or is he really just in his eyes kind of way say bring a light in a dark shirt and of course were welcome to take the clothes that shirt off I sit close I mean top off but they're usually just enlightened dark because there's really not a whole lot of variation between I don't want patterns or stripes and want anything busy they can wear shorts they could wear short sleeves polo's dress shirts I want a clean line simple I love top off when it's done well I'm not obsessive about it but every once in a while the woman will be like do you want the shirt off mike bring in the manner doing p...
ush ups and it looks right but it's not it's not a requirement for that so and there was a question that would come up with the last model and I've seen it by a few people amazed by you ask is there a good way to place the hair when you're lying someone down okay so laying down ok you saw how cc I mean a lisa when she was two the side I put all the hair this way that I will either put it all the way to one side or are all either kind of fan it up and around I don't find that this works well laying down I usually have if their heads turned it's to the side and if they're looking up I'll usually haven't like fan now and and that's something that honestly every person I do laying down I'm playing with the hair and you just gotta look you just gotta be down there and you just look and you can be you know what you know it to about that is a I feel like people are afraid to change things or move things and so they they don't offer like sometimes I tell the model the models I say to my clients I have no idea what's gonna look at because I've never seen you laying down before so let's lay down and let's just see where your hair goes it's okay they don't expect you to know every single position that they look good in you just have to communicate and talk with them do you have a question I do have a question when you have a larger model and you're doing silhouettes do you have any tips for making sure that they're not bumpy like really getting a nice silhouette without well okay so the biggest trick is standing tall from your core because with back fat ah lot of the back fat is the slouching to be honest with you for the most part I can eliminate seventy five percent of back fat my posture and I've done a lot of big elegant parties in my day so I'm very aware that it's hard to stand hall but honestly that really slims a body the leg I'm really big about the leg I can take a woman who was a really heavy leg just like boudoir and glamour if you position the hips and the legs it was slim anybody keeping the arms away from the body you know you still want to apply all those same elements keeping the chins out you still have to watch all of your life absolutely and when all those fails we photoshopped absolutely not afraid to say it in a question um yea belly would like to know can you tell us your schedule flow for pregnancy photo shoots like the newborns do you start where do you start and where do you like to finish absolutely um can I just interject real cookies were doing clothing I'm gonna just tell you my thoughts out loud that c c I'm thinking is just going to be wearing like shorts and a tube because we're gonna be using material with her and alicia will have the dress so least you should have the skirt that goes underneath there's a skirt underneath the dress we made a skirt to go with that dress know what about thie a terra cotta color and then we're going tio how hard is it to get rid of the white ticket of the bones okay um well oh yeah the pregnancy leta start where do you finish okay very good question I ask clients to bring in something from their closet if they were but but again I said before they could come with her panties in a bag let's say they come with something in their closet I pick ok like this I like this I like that I will usually start with a clothing I am they brought and the reason is it's them in their own skin they're comfortable with it so if they've got jeans and a tank or boy boy shorts and a man's shirt I'll say you know what I love sometimes women will come in and I'm like I love what you're wearing that like I just threw this on done so I start with the outfit that they've brought if they've brought it and I will usually start in the beginning when we did transition opposing their standing just kind of warming them up just kind of going from there and then I'll say okay let's let's pick something fun to change into a member of my closets and open doors so I say go ahead and pick what you like and let's talk about your comfort level because if they want to do new that's a segment so if they go yeah I'm willing but I want to wait till the end in my mind I'm thinking okay first round is like fun casual second round let's kind of get her more with a gown or material or more feminine or more flowy used the fan and have fun because when I do the fans segment it relaxes people it kind of breaks it down they just open up it's a really easy thing to dio and I'll usually then say okay we're going to do is sitting in a laying down that's usually the third piece and I'll end there with the sitting and lying down or if they're doing nude I'll do like sitting and then say okay now we're going to do nude keeping in mind in these three sets most four I shoot shoots and partner comes in shoot shoot partner comes in she shoot part he comes in and each set I think of everything like a set and within that set our two two three two four two five transitions add the partner do the same thing at the child do the same thing now we can close that set and I guess I'm planning ahead I'm as as I'm shooting the transitional posing I know there's a parent and dad the child so I'm thinking and I remember what you did because we're gonna do that all again and people feel like we'll go surety did her her looking down at the belly why would you do that with the partner what am I doing I'm making a book right are making a wall collection so she's gonna look at her looking down on her with the partner and then the child looking at the belly and it's a siri's in a book so I need to go back to those original poses and expand on them there was a question from sherry hubs photography and many people have asked asked about retouching belize as faras stretch marks or dark belly line and do you like to keep it more natural do let the let the mothers decide I let mom's decide it's a very good question because you never want to assume we do get a lot of frantic questions from clients going I really want to buy a book of pregnancy so she with you but I'm nervous I have a scar from top to bottom I have you know stretch marks I am woman who have like three surgeries even before being pregnant I've had tattoos I don't think there's anything I haven't had and we tell them that retouching is absolutely fine but you tell me that line that you get not every woman gets it and some women wanted in some women don't and that's a big deal because we've taken an outright if and women are like I wanted the lines like uh so we tiffany knows she sits down those ordering appointments we ask you tell me what you want to remove I don't go in there be like so should we slip in the back fat and trim the double chin and take away that we like I uh didn't know I had any of that you know what I mean so I say when we talk about ordering I say ok let me remember I'm only sneak peaking two or three and I'll sneak peek and adjust and when I sneak peek I usually keep the belly line but I'll take away the stretch marks and then when they sit down for the order an appointment they see the couple that I sneak peek and I say do you like the retouching that I did are you happy with that is there anything more love it but I want the line removed I love it but I want my piercing removed and we definitely and that goes with anything even families it's like like the dark circles on my do we take it away do we not taking away the bags is that them sometimes we're taking things away and tip will be like it doesn't look like them anymore and I'm into people looking like themselves so absolutely the client determines yes so when you're doing a maternity shoot with like a little a little sibling say they're too which is you know a hard age to coax them into and the mom says I want a picture of the baby touching the belly yes you have now runs out of the room yet give me tips to get the sibling to touch the belly and interact with the belly yes can I bring tiffany she sent me a message last night saying we didn't talk about this yesterday you haven't you might one of them is to get a little sticker and you put it on probably this side of mom's belly and then if it's a young toddler you seo go look what's in mommy's belly come see and they come and they look and they're inspecting in there touching it's a really good trick yes I think we've put cheerios in the belly button to have deep belly button is how far we can go work well stickers and it's funny because she just sent me a message last night going we haven't done that noah and we need stickers I think he has the minute the mom says I just want the child kissing me but don't they like run yeah yeah it's true like the hands on the belly to have one but we'll work isn't that more where you're holding a lot of time or underneath and holding under they're really young and then usually we just crop me out yeah holding at the arms yeah so that's really hard to get also too with the kissing when dad's air there if they've been down and we put the child on the lap sometimes we'll say dad you kiss and then the child will see dad's kissing and he'll kiss but it goes back to child development what are they capable of doing willing to dio what is the probable age I'm telling you the whole child think that's a whole other psychology and we work really hard don't you think we worked really hard with children and every child's different too you know some let you pick him up and take you in and some I don't want to touch them and they freak out and then it's like twenty minutes to recover yeah really is a delicate balance and you know we're human tricks work for different kids and weren't you worried about that saturday chi because I had picked him up not even thinking about that but the studio usually were pretty careful because we've had that we've made that mistake before yes but I picked him up and kind of swung him over and he started crying as like oh no I lost it I weigh recovered him so we think think the lord because if you think about it who are you and why are you picking me up yeah and some kids air completely fine but like a some with a stranger danger studio society we've had that and yeah and then you've got to build that trust all over again and sometimes can take a long time to recover you know that's sure thankyou way good um I know this is one that I like to bring to a lot of photographers that that come to the creative live studio and I'd like to know what inspires you I mean your work is beautiful whether it be a photographer whether it be something out there in the media or just things that are not related at all that you know that you help you get up in the morning you know inspiring things yeah that's a good question this morning I was like tiffany need inspiration and she said go look at your own order okay I need a little more than average ok yeah I mean early on I will say that my one of my big inspirations was and get this and I bought every book she had nice still have them tomorrow early classic work was really beautiful I actually have her books my studio and I still refer refer to them there's certain staple books that I have like marianne happens pregnancy goddess hood and get us actually still have ansel adams books to my home there's like staple books that I literally just pick up and just look that's that's a big one to me obviously the internet you see the facebooks feed on pinterest you see a lot of fun things honestly you want to know something weird I see pregnant women like everywhere even when they aren't pregnant so a victoria's secret catalog where she's there's a shot where she was sitting on the edge of the bed and just little undies like arch and I imagined her pregnant and I was like rip that piece of paper out I have a notebook that I've had since day one that I do tear sheets out of magazines and I call it inspiration journals and I tell a lot of my students do them there at my home and I've done sketches I've ripped out you name the magazine there was like a dove ad and it was the way she was just pure like look a dove ads they're very pure and they're they're wearing hardly not much and the angles of the bodies and what I love about dove ads is it's different body types and very inspired by things like that that of clean lines because I can transfer it mentally and that mama's slim gown connect to the black tight gown you want to know that the inspiration for that I'm on a plane a couple ofyears ago and was it diane ross there was some singer was african american she's wearing a skin tight white dress standing like this in an ad in a magazine on the airplane ride I think it was whitney was it winnie thing and I ripped it out sketched it and said I have to have this on a pregnant woman like imagine that and so I even the clothing line I go too sores and I met forever twenty one and I come to tiffany look at this okay would fit a twelve year old now imagine on a pregnant woman you know to me so I would say everything around me there's no one current photographer that inspires me um it's it's it's everywhere it's it's if I'm looking at you you're really pregnant if I like your outfit you know what I mean and I'm thinking oh I got to do that next time so I have to continually inspire myself because I get bored of my own work and you want to know a secret I don't really think I'm that good was not interesting it's true and really that's what you dig deep right and it keeps you it keeps you going and get going right tiffany knows I've gone through this don't make me cry but I yeah I don't really think I don't really think I'm I'm that good so I wake up every day thinking how can I be better because I miss something that last session I looked at my work each session and when I'm ordering with a client they don't know I'm critiquing myself the whole time so during that ordering appointment in my mind I'm thinking the next time I'm going to do that the next time I'm going to do that and then I get inspired by that way because I spend my life trying to make my work good

I enrolled in your course because I was wanting to expand my photography business to something other than weddings. I never knew just how amazing and important pregnancy and newborn photography would be. I am feeling so much joy, love, inspiration and the need to do this now; all because of you and this course. You have captured me and led me to believe I was meant to do this type of photography. Thank you for your amazing course, your talents in what you do are unmeasurable! I look forward to learning more from you in the future while watching your course over and over. I can't wait to start this new journey of imagery. Thank you!

I cant believe I got this on sale! So happy with this purchase. The one thing I feel I would have changed is I feel she rushed through the newborn sessions really quickly and spent ALOT of time on maternity. I would have liked to see a lot more of the newborn posing and info versus a dozen maternity. But all in all its full of a lot of great info and I love that its not voice over....it is true time so I can see how she is interacting with the clients. Thankyou Anna I love love love your work always!!
