Case Study 2 Overview (Illustrative Pattern)
in this case study, we will look at illustration that can work as a very organic pattern here. You can see a few examples. This was a design I created for a Nike T shirt. The design here was laser engraved on sunglass frames for the company bosque. This design was used on the leather ipad case and was also laser engraved. This type of graphic is good for product application, animation and many other possibilities. If you look at these examples, you can see each image consists of variety of shapes, you will also notice there are some repetitive elements. The main tip for this type of image is how not to make it look like simple repetition. In other words, it is illustrated pattern yet you don't want to make it look like a predictable pattern. In the following lessons, I will show you how to achieve this by using some of the basic design principles. This design was a part of anti tobacco campaign 14 during the concept development, a few aspects inspired me to come up with this design. On...
e of the challenge in the direction was that the client didn't want to use obvious tobacco image within the design. My focus was to promote healthy habits, activities and anything positive. We can be surrounded by these good vibes and I wanted to express that in the illustration, all kinds of different good vibes as fuel. I wanted a team to move to the right direction which is anti tobacco. This was the main concept that I come up with. I focused on everything that is opposite from bad habits. Then I came up with this series of images to work with the main character.
